I've been playing in Cyrodiil for years, and it's always been somewhat broken, and worse when there's dozens of players in the same spot. But I returned to the game last week, and it's utterly broken - abilities just don't work over half the time, DOTs stack like crazy because of the lag, and purges don't cleanse them fast enough with the lag. HOW IS IT WORSE NOW THAN IT WAS LAST YEAR?
This is literally directed at the actual game developers responsible for making the lag and abilities even more broken than before. What is your response to us paying customers? Do I get compensation for tolerating this worsening?
You should be too ashamed to release new Chapters, DLCs, and Crown Store items, before you can actually fix the actual core gameplay with more than 5 players on the screen in a self-touting MMO.

They will not read your post. Mod will roll by and close this then bury it. Reminds me of those birds ostrich maybe when it buries its head and ignores the world.

People would get in the action more and spend less time running around hunting for fights.
Cyrodil could be restored to it glory of TES4 rather than just be astroturf with a few buildings and trees. Loads of new PVE areas.
It would be way better than what we have now.

The solution is to have an actual solution to the actual problem. Cyro is a terrible design for open world PVP for a multitude of reasons. It is a complete waste of space to use it in this way and it just doesnt fit with the whole Emperor thing anyway. Just because some people want to play horse simulator for 10 minutes than ball group and snowball forts doesn't mean its a good pvp system. If i was a good pvp system it wouldn't need so few campaigns. If the solution is to simply remove the zones PvP functionality and make it all PvE and turning IC into the main source of PvP thats taking a massive dump on the PvP population that doesnt BG and BGs arent exactly performing great either some folks like their siege fights defending keeps taking keeps ect
Hell it was 1 of those things ESO marketed for *MMO PvP* Big siege fights! if they cant fix the performance issues in cyrodill theres no way theyd be able to implement siege in Imperial city without breaking it their fake NPC siege dont count because it doesnt do anything at all
Did you know most performance problems are on the user end? It is because the user's hardware can't handle the load placed on it, so it causes issues. I wouldnt leave IC as is. IC has a capture the flag system which is pretty much the same thing as Cyro.I would actually revamp IC to make it a much better PVP zone than current Cyro and IC combined. ID rather have one good PVP zone that had better backend support and allowed players to spend more time in PVP and less time getting saddle sore, than two poorly performing zones that everyone complains about. So i would put all of my cyro and IC assets/resources into making IC awesome rather than trying to maintain the garbage we have now.Its mainly because IC suffers from alot of these same performance issues when the population rolls in it only tights up a bit during the IC event and midyear mayhem when they devote an adequate amount resources there to handle it then the performance is subject to the population again and its own countless bugs that still havnt been fixed *Like the *** ladders* lol
Its not about being able to PVE in Cyro, its just a really poor use of the zone and a really poorly thought PVP system.Plus theres nothing stopping PvErs from going into the cyrodill delves and fighting the overland mobs at the areas where theres no alliance related structures or conflict i dont exactly see zergs of players camped out at Ayleid ruins or caves looking for potatos to gib fighting mobs
Granted Midyear Mayhem the gankers go to the towns and quest areas and slaughter questers in droves thats zos throwing us a bone once/twice a year for a few weeks then its back to fighting other PvPers in the crappy lag ridden bug infested *** show
So i fail to understand why if the performance in cyrodiil being bad it would warrant it to be turned into a PvE only zone when said players for that game aspect have a plethora of content they can choose from *While still being able to PvE in cyrodiil* all they gota do is look at the map and avoid alliance war activity
All this is is Cyro 2.0 which is a boring unimaginative snoozefest even if it worked properly. Cyro type gameplay appeals to very few people people. The zone is to large, the PVP to messed up, and to much down time between action. Also this whole faction war thing is super stale. Like no one cares about the factions and faction war except RPers maybe. But everyone else is already over it. Time for something new and creative not Cyro 2.0What needs to happen imo is an actual new PvP dedicated zone built from the ground up toss in some deer and caves skyshards if ya want fine the zone should be simular in size to Cyrodill with the same mechanics that keep people wanting to play it despite its horrid performance

First, just to be clear, i am not a PVER just putting in my two cents. I have been an avid pvper for decades... just not much in this game because i consider the pvp here worse than WOW which is pretty bad.The solution is to have an actual solution to the actual problem. PVPers keep saying" but they said it was going to have good PVP!!!" That was 6 years ago, they were using it as a selling point to lure mmo players, they have shown almost no interest in it since. Let's stop kicking that dead horse now. It's not getting back up.Did you know most performance problems are on the user end? As a fan of TES 4, our Cyro does not do "the real Cyro" justice. Our Morrowind and Skyrim are better than the originals but our Cyro is horrible. Its not about making it a PVE zone its about making it a good zone. Or rather multiple good zones. Since it is so big there is so much we could do with it. And it doesnt have to necessarily be PVE only.
There are so many thing that can be done with that isnt its current mess. Besides turning it into multiple PVE zones, some thoughts i had:
1) Fracturing it into tiny districts about the size of forts and the area outside of their walls and using it as guild cities/forts. You would have to build these up as they would just be plots of land. Guilds could declare war on each other and raid each others cities.
2) Playing on the next storyline, dividing it between many micro zones( 15-25) and actually making it look like Cyro is suppose to look. Players can join one of two factions, one that is loyal to daedra and the other that is trying to prevent Prince X from doing Y. Oblivion gates drop in these micro zones and players fight over control of the zone for their faction. Some of this fighting takes place on Oblivion and some on Tamriel. The idea is to defend Tamriel and go through the gate and acquire the sigil stone to close the gate. From the daedra side, the idea is to capture a fort and place a sigil stone there giving the daedra control of the zone. Something like that.
3) Turning it into smaller zones(6-12) that are developed PVE zones. Random Oblivion gates drop and players can go through to a plane of oblivion. There will be multiple accessible gates on this plane that lead to various places in Cyro but the goal here is to capture the sigil stone which closes the multiple gates to this plane. This sigil can be placed in a sigil slot on your character and will give you a minor 24 hour ( of gameplay) buff. The plot twist is that when you enter Oblivion, it is a FFA to get the sigil so you may and probably will have to fight other players As well and some Dremora and and other Oblivion residents.
Its about making Cyro into a good usable zone and fixing PVP so people who do PVP have something that is fun and provides action rather than riding around to form laggy ball groups to steamroll forts. All this is is Cyro 2.0 which is a boring unimaginative snoozefest even if it worked properly. This was meant to be the year of performance fixes but somehow they managed to make performance even worse...
