Looking for experts info on Mend Wounds

So I'm thinking of making a pvp healer that is also pretty tanky. There are multiple ways to do this but I'm wondering about something.

Mend Wounds. Does anyone know if the passives Revitalize and Cycle of Life increase the amount of magicka restored by Mend Wounds heavy attack?

After reading the tooltips I think they SHOULD but ESO is weird sometimes. Has anyone ever tried this out?

Also, Mend Wounds says it needs a "successful heal" to restore magicka. Does this include overheals?

Also, while I have the attention of healing experts. Does anyone know if Force Siphon procs Prayer Shawl? On one hand the debuff of Force Siphon is cast by us and is healing our allies...but on the other hand its on an enemy so does it consider the enemy to be healing our allies instead?

Minor lifesteal got changed this patch to not be considered your heal, so it doesn't proc anything related to your heals anymore.

As zvavi said, unfortunately, Lifesteal got rather brutally nerfed last patch and it no longer works with basically anything that it used to.

I also do not believe that Mending would proc the Resto Passives since Mending specifically says that you can a certain amount of Magicka back in the tooltip.

I was just testing it (for a different purpose) and I did not notice my Magicka replenishing by ~8k per tick. The ability is implemented very strangely and does not mirror anything else in the game that I am aware of.

Everything you have asked, must be answered with a negative.

Mend Wounds only restores magicka when you actually restore health for someone.

Heavy attacks are not subject to the 30% increase of restoration staff, because it only works on fully charged heavy attacks, that mend wounds technically can not perform.

The healing passive from restoration also does not work, because it only affects restoration staff abilities.

Unfortunately, Mend Wounds has no vastly interesting connections to anything. It is still a rather intrusive and ineffective ability. They seem to be unable to make it worthwhile and effective. It is, as of now, exclusively a roleplay ability.
