can't play on xbox since 11/11 (Solved)

Hello,
Since yesterday I can no more play on Xbox one S, my game is stuck at the start screen with "game updating" dispite the progress bar show 100%.
- I could play fine in Markarth before, so the update did work
- the start screen is in english, my xbox is configured in french, as was the game before
- I tried to reboot the xbox and reinstalled the game with no change
- I can play the game with my account on my son's xbox and also on a friend's one
- I have seen people with the same problem on reddit and discord servers

do anyone have a clue how to fix that?

    As I said, I reinstalled the game, wich mean deleting it and re-downloading it, and it's still the same.

    Don't know if it will work, but when Xbox has been really stupid, I've had decent luck by pulling the power cord out for a few minutes. Seems to work even when doing a restart through the menu fails.

    I can't tell if you deleted the local save file. If you do, it will sync from the server so you don't lose anything.

    done too, nothing helps, I will try the power cord thing, but I already 'hard reboot' the xbox with no luck

    Just a couple of questions:
    • Which Server do you normally play on?
    • Is your problem tied to your language setting? (Ruling out the possibility that changing the language may affect the game in its entirety.)
    • if it says it is still downloading, Check in “My games and Apps” and Check the Queue and see if anything is out of place.
    If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

    If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

    -server is xbox EU
    -I don't think I can change the game language, I think it's tied to the xbox UI language
    -the update queue is empty

    I got an answer from the french ESO twitter account saying this problem seems to touch people who are in the xbox insider program, which I am. At the moment I'm updating my xbox to the last official update, not the insider one. I hope it will fix this bug.

    It works, so the problem seems to be an incompatibility with the latest insider console update (ring Omega for me).
    For ESO to launch you have to opt-out your xbox from the insider program to return it to the last official update

    Seriously, though, I'm glad you got it sorted out, but you might want to consider editing the title of your thread to add "SOLVED (culprit was Xbox Insider)" or something like that, so anyone else having the same issue can see that your thread gives the solution to the issue.
    I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!
