Ring of the Pale Order - Thank you for the well thought out mythic

I farmed Ring of the pale order yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised to find it had mechanics that were well thought and what malacath should have been all along.

It doesn't heal for you proc set damages (except very few monster sets as per my tests)
As this gives more benefits to the builds with higher damage output and stat based builds and disables 40k hp proc builds from going out of their way to get more free healing.

And I also like the fact that the healing modifiers apply for the heals too. (cyro buffs, CP buffs etc)

It's a great piece of art that would help create fun builds. Thank you for this.

Yea the ring totally rocks the way you just want to play more. Thank you ZOS and please do not nerf it.
    A is for Atronach.
    B is for Bungler's Bane.
    C is for Comberry.

Healing modifiers allow you to bypass the limit on the ring as well.

On my templar with just minor mending up and no healing in cp, i was getting 3k healing ticks.

Yes I noticed this as well. Seems to be a bug in this case and should be adjusted soon. Other than that, it should be working as intended and it's working great.

Yep - used this in vet Vateshran Hollows and it definitely makes a difference in there. It allows you to build for more damage and that's VERY helpful in that arena.

It's worth having if you prefer solo gameplay all round really. Farming the leads wasn't bad considering how many other players were doing it at the same time.

I'll be interested to see what the PvPers think tho - that's where a lot of nerfs come from.

The only thing that made me afraid about this ring is PvE.
That would made healer even less needed for 90% of content.

My friend who is in a GS run have run it on the yolna + Navhin with blood frenzy it's was totally OP allowiung him to parse more than 110k on the boss and never needed any heal :/

As an ex-healer I'm really worried about it.

Except about this, yeah, it's a great item for people like me who love solo vet content, that would made some run easier for sur and it's a good thing if it don't broke pvp.
For malacath, make him so it don't apply to proc set could be a good solution as well instead of hard nerfing proc set.

this is why this ring is going to get nerfed hard. it's game breaking. not only am i now a 40k dps unkillable tank magsorc (pve), but what happens when a healers queues for a vet pledge, only to find that there are x3dps with the ring on and the healer just sits there because their heals are worthless? i dont pvp but i'm sure there will be problems as well. it wont last

We can never have good things...please lets not dwell on the if's and but's bcz other classes/builds, in pvp, can also be powerful with this and the tank will always need heals and synergies in pve. Healers in dungeon groups will have the luxury and inventory space to swap out their build if it benefits them. The floor players need that help to complete some of the vet dlc content.

Only thing is you can't re-farm it for the codexes because there's a bug with the lead in Nighthollow Keep. The interactable won't show up where you can get said lead, but others can clearly see it on the table. Made a thread about it so hopefully that's fixed so I can finish the codex entries at least.

As far as mechanics go, the ring's fine and healers are still needed. Unless you're able to buff/keep yourself buffed and have super niche builds with vampire, the general user of the ring is going to die rather quickly in pugs/progression trials. I'm loving how it just takes the stress off of vamping around though. It actually feels slightly usable.

I agree that it's pretty OP, especially when you look at frenzy and the fact that the DDs in my Unchained prog group could easily outheal bug bumb and stuff, but I don't think this is going to make healers obsolete. Most of what a healer does in a lot of content is be a buff bot tbh. I kinda wished it wasn't that way though, I really enjoy content where having a healer is actually necessary. Beyond boosting deeps, that is.

I've used it in a couple of duels and it let me survive someone's magSorc 5 pet build (Including monster set) but I have not tested it any further. I imagine It'll make sieging a fort a pain in the rear due to the fact your friendly healers can't heal you after you get hit with oils and coldfire.

Yeah I'm not seeing anyone other than solo players using this in pvp. Which is another plus point as less people using it = less complaints = less chances of this being nerfed to ground in a month.
