Imagine banning a good member from the ESO community/social media because he was getting popular in asking to fix a lorebook..

A guy used to comment on ESO posts on social media, and ended his posts asking for Devs to fix a lorebook he couldn't get (Tome of the Undaunted), with time he got popular and some started to follow ESO posts because of it.

The player was never toxic or unpolite, and some of the ESO community started to follow him on his quest to get the lorebook, stuff like #fixthebook and posting about it.

Social media team sought better to ban the guy out of nowhere..

If you check ESO FB page posts you see more about it if you interested.

Well, considering how they handled #ESOInktober on Twitter last year, I'm not surprised. Their communication with the community outside stream team/partners leaves much to be desired.

An annoying spammer that inspired other annoying spammers? Yeah, good riddance.

That's the kind of stuff that happens when you outsource forum moderation to a call center.

You mean a devoted player that added more interest to ESO post news? Yea, good ridance, let's just start banning people and see if it works out.

If they had fixed the issue at all in the past 3.5+ years and counting, including numerous promises to “look into it,” then none of those requests would have been necessary.

But sure, ban someone who happens to be making public your bugs and lack of concern therefor. History shows this works great for PR...

To be honest, Haakon was the only reason that kept me coming back to the page, since their postings are boring af. They’d rather ban the guy than fix the lorebook
