Is there anything that was sold with crowns but later added to base game and became free?

    Imperial city iirc.
Also, one of the other DLC's was a monthly login reward. Murkmire or some such.
Taking stealth away from the Bosmer is like taking magic away from the Altmer, making Nords allergic to mead, or making Orcs pretty.

    Yeah, it was Murkmire.

You couldn't get it from Crowns, but Battlegrounds used to require the Morrowind Chapter.

Anything you can obtain from DLC content on a free ESO+ weekend would also count, probably. Like the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood Costumes, but that's more debatable.

Imperial City DLC became part of the basegame a year or two ago.

The Murkmire DLC was a login reward, but that was right after it launched, so people who bought it with crowns knew that was going to happen (also, it was the base DLC, not the collectors edition and some people care about that).
    The Moot Councillor

The crown store items like scrolls, potions, and crates in the daily login rewards come to mind.

A couple similar items are included in the Level Up rewards.

Morrowind is now included in the base game for new players.

IIRC, imperial style furnishing were only available from the Crown store or furnished houses until they were added to the Level Up Rewards and as Event Rewards.

Its not something that happens super often, though.

Yeah, good point, I forgot about this. Also a lot of crown crates were available when daily rewards first came in. So, you were getting things that were originally crown exclusive (either through the crates themselves, or items that originally sold for crowns but were then moved to the crates.)

The only things added to base game from DLC were Imperial City, Murkmire, and Battlegrounds.

There have never been any mounts, pets, style pages, or any other cosmetic that have become earnable in-game after a cash shop release. ESO is definitely a play-to-pay type of game

The highest lvl xp scroll was once only crown store, but people complained how it was P2W, so aetherial ambrosia was added. Just at an extremely low drop for aetherial dust.

Also a ridiculously rare recipe fragment.

Finally, the Ambrosias aren't exactly equivalent to the scrolls, because they only last for 30 minutes instead of two hours.

At the time, it was kinda P2W. CPs were slightly more linear (with many boasting more powerful effects), and CP spending was uncapped. So, if you bought scrolls, you got more power from your grinding. Once the CP cap came in, that became less of a concern.

Two pets (yellow dog and yellow cat) were sold in crown store, but then they added them to level-up rewards.
And costumes from level-up rewards were sold in store at some point as well (and they are still part of Superior tier items of some crate seasons).
