Suggestion | Public/Zone Group System

As it stands now in the game, you have to advertise in chat about your group or wanting a group for specific game content. This is very inefficient and unnecessary at this point in my opinion, because it results in chat being spammed in populated zones, and just in general clutters the chat if any conversation was being made. The most egregious example is Alik'r Desert with the massive amount of people Dolmen farming and just about everyone spamming the chat with XYZ when they enter the zone.

My suggestion is that in the Group Tab, a new section is made where you can create a public group with a group name or category (to specify what the group is for), possibly some limitations to joining the group (areas such as Craglorn, where a majority of players are at a high Champion and are doing difficult zone content, or advertising that they want to form a group for dungeon content with other high Champion players), and an adjustable group size limit.

This would make it infinitely better and easier to form groups for general content like Dolmens, Public Dungeons, Zone Completion or Questing, etc. And would make really any sort of group forming more organized and concise.

could also be helpful to just display active content on the map, like dragons. When world bosses or dolmens are up they could be shown as active on the map.

That would be a nice compromise between trial group finder and LFG in zone chat. Like, unlike with finder you know there are people ready for PUG

I agree, this would be a good addition.

Especially since it would get around the problem of zone chat only being seen by people in the same copy of the zone as you. ESO's megaserver system means there can be multiple copies of the same open-world map, which is good because it means everyone who wants to go there can without a queue or the map being so crammed with players that it's impossible to do anything and even more prone to lag and crashes than it already is. But the downside is zone chat is only seen by people in the same copy of the map as you, so if there's 2 players wanting to do the same activity but they're in different copies of the map they'll never find each other by spamming zone chat.

This way not only would they be able to find each other and group up (and then one can teleport to the other so they can play together) but they could find other people who aren't even in that map at the moment but are willing to come if they know someone's doing the activity they're interested in.
