Is the character name Nefertiti against ZOS naming TOS?

Out of interest as I have named one of my redguard vamp characters already "Nefertiti The Ageless" being the Egyptian queen wife of Akhenaten. I cant remember if you are allowed to use historical figures names. Have any of you used historical figures names for your characters?

I don't see the problem really, other than having "***" in the name I would say its fine if its just the first name and not her full name ?

I mean if you used a name like Trump then I'm sure that would be asked to be swiftly changed

I just googled and found the full name is Neferneferuaten Nefertiti orfemale King but thats according to wikki. I will keep the name but will not be have too much of an issue if it needs to be changed

In all seriousness, I have not heard of ZOS taking exception to a name such as yours, and considering it isn't vulgar it will likely not be an issue, if it is, the most they'd do is give you a 'forced name change token'.

Yeah it should be fine, My Warden's name is worse ( if you actually Google the name ) and has survived since I created him

The auto detect for dirty words can be a bit sensitive. I wanted to name a khajiit character after one of my cats Boobles and because there’s a word for breasts in it, it was a no go. So watch out for that other word for breasts within yours. 🙄

Considering Isis (the Egyptian Goddess) came first, seems a shame you were forced to change it, but in today's Orwellian climate, it doesn't surprise me.

Unfortunately they do. Though you could use the Kemetic name Aset (Isis is the Greek name), but I understand that it doesn't have the same flair as the original name.

The alternative I found was Iset. But yes not the same flair.

Technically names of “other people” (and of characters from any trademarked or copyrighted IP, including Elder Scrolls) are not permitted, but someone would have to report it in game for ZOS to investigate and decide whether to take action.

Nefertiti sound almost like "never-titty" so you never know if this will be ok

As a big fan of the post metal band Isis since well over a decade, lets just say that for a while I had to stop wearing the band shirts which kinda sucked...

Considering how the nazis ruined the swastika which is an ancient symbol that stood for something good before they came around. This isn't exactly the first thing that extremists have ruined.
