Fengrush was 100% wrong about the cross healing being one of the contributors to lag in Cyrodiil

Lag is worse during this test than it was for all other tests. The fact is NONE of these test have showed consistent improvement in performance in Cyrodiil. The only test where lag was great was the first one done during the IC event....that was because hardly anyone was out there.

Ability lag has been worse during this test than all others, even when the fights are not that big. My latency has sometimes been in the 80's sitting in an empty keep with no fight going on anywhere near it.

MS will not micromanage ESO or any other product. By every indication we can see, ESO has been growing every year even before this COVID mess. If revenue growth is even just half of that MS will not want to rock that cash cow for such a small part of the game.

Pc eu no-cp, it's definitely an improvement in supposed high load situations plus biggest qol improvement for solo mag self-healing and grouped healers. You won't see "consistent" results just from some tests, but it's fairly strange to dismiss any results as non existent, most test had an impact but this one somehow brought more to the table outside of lesser ping for lots of people.

How exactly it is qol for healers? If you heal your group, that attack keep, some group members are too far away to heal, and people from other groups are dying near a healer, while healer is useless to them. It also completely kills solo healing. Maybe we can make another test, where you can't damage anyone unless you are grouped? It will be qol for dps indeed *sarkasm.

Your heals don't target randoms roaming around the group securing the group members healing taken. If your group is out of reach it's already an issue lmao, I'm not talking mindless grouping. And maybe, just maybe those poor ungrouped souls need to finally group in an mmo to get some benefit, just a thought.
But anyway, you still be able to enjoy quality gameplay with at least 20 "solo healers" each side running every siege while servers are melting after these tests ending.

actually according to steam charts (small % true) greymoor saw no player spike, and in fact only saw a decrease of players that had built up before its launch.

i felt like greymoor kind of flopped, but the numbers back it up. kinda disappointing.

I can’t help but think about all the different things that separate group members during keep fights.

Popping the outer gate, a person or two go after stragglers off to the left, another goes after the tent to the right, the rest set up siege for the inner wall. Group is separated.

Popping the inner gate, some fight around the first flag, some fight around the second flag, others dash upstairs to clear the roof. Group is separated.

How about if the healer gets killed and has to ride back - the entire group cannot get healing from any of the other random healers still there. Orbs float by, no healing or synergy. Shards are thrown, no synergy. Ritual rings and healing springs aplenty, but none heal you because they aren’t your group even though they are your ally.

The grouped/ungrouped healing test can, at best, point toward places in the code that need to be made smoother and shorter and more efficient. Because actually implementing group-only healing won’t bring a desirable gameplay.

Don't know how exactly it's impacts performance but gameplay-wise this change is really bad and not fun. If they will change how healing works I really hope just they will write new code and just change how healing impacts server how they did it with blocking (if this is even possible).

I really like to support groups as solo player beacuse that way I have more freedom, I can avoid bad leading decisions, etc but my sometimes I need random heals when for example I use sieges. Also I just leveled my first healer character and I really wanted her for Cyrodill solo supporting random groups :(

You must be joking right? You even contradict yourself.

Every test has been an improvement on prior non-restricted, Cyrodiil. Can you even remember 5 weeks ago. It doesn’t work at all. And of course the first test was the best. Every skill with an AOE check has a cool down, and 90% of heals have AOE checks, ergo, if you have less AOE checks to do, then you have better performance.

Maybe MS has a greater vision for the future of ESO than ZOS has. Ideally, that would be the case. If they are smart, they do, because if/when ESO works/worked as advertised nothing could come close to it. That means more than double the population in cyrodiil there is now, and no lag; as it used to be.

They haven't been better. It's true that this weeks test are the smoothest so far, but none of them come close to smooth performance.

What did they do during the midyear mayem event that seemed to work so well? They still haven't told us.
