Transmute geodes and amount of crystals

It has been said on the PTS v6.2.0 notes that:

We've increased the number of Transmute Crystals you can earn from most PvE sources, including Undaunted Pledges, LFG rewards, Trial Weekly Quests, and Arena and Trial Leaderboards. We've also increased the number of Transmute Crystals you can earn from the Battleground Leaderboards. As part of this, we've removed the small chance of obtaining a single Transmute Crystal from simply slaying the Final Boss in a Dungeon.

Since the cap was increased by 5 times, is it a fair assumption that the current sources (as form of geodes) are going also to provide 5 times the previous amount of crystals they provided before the patch? Can anyone who earned any geode confirm that?
That being or not being truth, do you guys think that it should be that way?
And what other new ways to obtain crystals you can think of?

I would suggest that assumption would be incorrect. I have not seen any information to suggest they are increasing crystal drops 5x. Most of us will reach the cap and be back to stockpiling the big geodes again.

Just speculating but I dont think 5 times will be happening. Like 25 crystals for a normal trial weekly enabling you to craft a new vMA perfected staff or AY dagger? Would be nice. But I think its excessive.

I feel that its more likely they would do like 5 for a vet pledge, 8-10 for a trial weekly. Maybe around double. They would still accumulate quick. Do your daily pledges and a trial weekly and you can craft an item if you have the cost reduction applied through collecting enough pieces from the set.

Sounds reasonable to me. But I also get a lot of pvp rewards to supplement.

I did see they are looking at increasing the amount of ways to get crystals, but I agree that 5x would be excessive. That being said, us PVPers will now hit the cap after two weeks of playing instead of just one....

The overriding concept of why the cap exists is still in play, though, @Lumsdenml.

That's regardless of whether you play PvP or PvE.

Even with 1,000 stones the transmute cap exists to help change the trait on gear ... not serve as a substitute for players running content for the gear itself.

The increased load on geodes in inventory (after the cap) is an intended mechanic.

Even with 1,000 stones the transmute cap exists to help change the trait on gear ... not serve as a substitute for players running content for the gear itself.

The increased load on geodes in inventory (after the cap) is an intended mechanic.

Erm... Wheter you transmute or reconstruct you have to grab that piece of gear first, so it's not a substitute to running content.

Surely of you X 5 the gains and the storage you have the exact same problem as today, too many stones.

I read it that storage is up. Rest stays same and that's a really good thing.

I have like 2000 stones

Yeah, absolutely. Would be great if they got rid of it completely.

Some PvE stuff still get waaay to low Crystals.......vMA... 4 crystals..... MEH
