Login Queue???

I was just kicked out of the game then could not connect with error 200 repeatedly. Now I'm suddenly being told I'm placed in a login queue and should be able to connect in a few moments???? Since when was the login queue re-enabled on the live servers? What is going on with ESO that I was kicked offline to then get shunted into a queue?

Tevalaur✭✭✭✭✭I also tend to think it's rather a big deal to be knocked offline to be put into a queue instead of just putting newer sign-in attempts into the queue if it were to need to be re-enabled on live servers. InAMinute✭✭The login queue has been in place for quite a while.
There was a maintenance a month or two back which overran and finished just about at the main time the EU was logging into the EU server which overloaded the login server. It took hours before everyone managed to get in. I believe it was at this point the queue was put in place as ever since then I have occasionally been put into a queue when logging in.
As others have pointed out it is normally only a few seconds, but if a number of people were all kicked out when you were then there could have been a lot of log ins at the same time causing a longer then normal wait.0 -

✭✭✭✭I occasionally see the queue on PC-NA. At this point I assume it’s always there and just goes by too quickly to appear during most logins. Last time I saw the message was last week when I was kicked from Cyrodiil and spent 25 minutes trying to log back into the game.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭I've seen the login queue window a couple of times recently on either PC EU and/or NA but each time it flashed by so instantly I couldn't even read it. However, as @InAMinute says, if everyone was booted off together due to a server crash then they would all be trying to log back in together afterwards and that could well result in a queue.0
