Hi guys, I want to share the beauty of Skyrim in 8k captured by RTX 3090
Keep in mind that the 8k capture is in beta so there are some occasional artifacting here and there.

Does the game even have 8k support or are you upscaling.

Why are people so obsessed with 8k is beyond me. Looks nice but I can't see any difference between 4k and this tbh.

on big screen it is noticible difference, I can clearly tell the difference between 4k , 5k and 8k on my TV

on the higher resolutions you can see almost no jaged edges or shimmering in Tree leaf in the distance.

Note that I actually play on a 8k TV

Cool video. I just wish ESO actually had that high of quality in textures and a better optimized graphics engine to make use of it. While edges look a lot better and you could even probably remove anti-aliasing if you wanted, I would gamble to say most of the textures they use in ESO would look "best" at 1080p. I am on 4k on max settings and notice what you mention--better edge and finer details but I also notice a lot more smeary/blurry looking textures (upscaling) than I did on a 1080p panel of the same size and same graphical settings (maxed out).

Suggestion, it would have been useful to have had your /fps on for that video so we could see what framerates you are actually getting at that resolution. I would have to guess somewhere around ~25-45 min/avg/max, even the YouTube video is in 30fps (pic below) which is why I'm speculating. 8k being at respectable frame rates in any situation is still quite a ways off and was just more of a selling point for NVIDIA since every demo was cherry picked. I've also seen that the 3090 (rebranded Titan) is only about 10-15% better than the 3080...so maths say 3080 @ 60fps would mean 3090 @ ~70fps, not much of a difference for almost double the price. 4k is just now starting to take off in an acceptable manner...dare I say 8k is the new 4k progression? :p Sorry to get off-topic. It's nice to see 8k winking at us and more importantly, 4k finally be more viable for gaming. I would really appreciate (and maybe others here too) an updated video or screen shots with some sort of FPS display on to get a rough idea of what to expect on 8k, 4k, 2k, etc of what the new 3000 series of the flashy, hyped, and severely understocked NVIDIA cards are capable of in ESO, not a lot out there yet with that info. :)

Looks about the same as my 4K downscaled to 1440P on my 32" 144 Hz Gsync monitor :)

Even my 1440p on an xbox one x has fuzzy textures. Cant imagine what blowing those up on an 8k screen would be like. If xbox could even do 8k.

Nvidia 8k capture is limited to 30 fps only,

In actual gameplay FPS is between 50-75 in 8k (shadows on High and water reflections on Low) everything else on max.

Here are some other statistics from my personal experience:

    Horizon Zero Down - 5k Ultra - 60fps lock
    Star Wars Battlefront 2 - (8k with 80% resolution scaling + Ultra settings) - 60fps lock

Currently I play ESO in 5k@120fps as it gives best of both worlds - resolution and fluidity.

Good to know from some other titles that are a bit more optimized. I am curious what the unlocked would be. One scenario I am curious of is the 1440p @ 144hz area (If that convo is continued, might need to be PM'd to keep from breaking forum rules) :#

Gotcha. Guessing that will change later once it's capable.

Knowing how ESO performs, sounds like a more optimal and less "busy" scenario? How about in busier cities and by chance any group content (especially alik'r dolmens, 12 person trials, etc). Since you're unable to capture video in higher FPS, Screenshots with FPS showing would be a great way to see different areas of the game, and myself I'm just trying to gauge a bit to see if I want to take the plunge and drop the cash into the 3000 series for 1440p and 4k just or wait another generation.

    Thanks!

Note that I recorded in 4k in order to not get big additional GPU load
