Yeah, I agree. Currently you start losing dps compared to the best set-up if more than half of the group plays magblades. They should be buffed to a point where every good raid group plays magblade only.

I have no idea where magblade at in pve I don’t want to break it there but for pvp it’s in a terrible spot survivability wise and if that’s isn’t bad enough we have no good way for major sorcery.

I would like to see magblades improved to a point where sets like Caluurion's aren't necessary and, at this point, have basically just become a band-aid for the class itself. I say that as someone who uses Caluurion on my own shadowy disguise magblade.

Various random ideas I've had over time from musing over the state of the class:
    • Remove the cast time from Lotus Fan.
    • Take sorcery off of sap essence and move it to siphoning strikes.
    • Make soul swallow an instant ability instead of a projectile.
    • Make cripple instant too. How on earth is our class DoT a projectile anyway? What's that about?
    • Take expedition off of path, or hell just delete the whole ability, won't nobody really care. Not even the people who use it. Move it to another ability like blur (then maybe magblades will more often consider it over RAT), or if not there then back to cripple.
    • Have Merciless do anything, literally anything at all, so that it's not just a "dead cast". Minor intellect, maybe put sorcery here instead of siphoning, minor prophecy, anything. Hell you could probably even put minor berserk back here at this point, especially now that it's only going to be 5%. Won't mess up trial DPS at all since they're getting it from the healer, and ain't nobody complaining that PvP magblades are just slaying it with their out of control swallow-soul spam damage either.
    • Dark cloak, I actually find the heal to be okay in PvP (not good by any stretch of the imagination, just okay), but given the incoming nerf to minor protection it's now going to be offering even less. I actually think it should just offer a flat 10% mitigation instead, which would solve the mitigation loss from merciless but keep it out of reach of gankers. "But that's major protection now!" you say. And yeah, it is. But necros get it, for a longer duration, with a heal attached to it too, and higher overall mitigation anyway so...why can't we?
    • Fear should have a secondary effect. Literally no excuse outside of either malice or incompetence that it's been left offering less than it's guild equivalent for so long. Personally I think this is where maim should go instead of shade, otherwise any other minor debuff would be fine.
    • All magblades deserve a direct heal. It's time. If stamblades can have a directly applied HoT and a burst heal at their disposal while being able to dish out more damage and burst than a magblade then there's literally zero excuse as to why magblades can't have one too. My own suggestion in this regard was to change one morph of malevolent offering into a self-heal only HoT that would heal the caster for X amount over how every many seconds, and if the character's life falls below a certain percent it then either heals for the remaining amount instantly or for a percentage of that amount. This would simultaneously unchain magblades from being required to backbar a resto staff to PvP without the option of using anything else, and would also address our own class-healing deficiencies (no self-targeted heals, no class-healing that can't be completely mitigated by a dodge-roll)

I'm sure I've had more, this is just off the top of my head.
