I don't get the complaints about the number of housing slots. People sound like they either only have one house or that they must have every furnishing item displayed in every one of their houses. I doubt very much that anyone fits into the first category (not least with the free houses and inn rooms available) and I don't see the reasoning behind the second category. If they list all their houses and total up all the furnishing slots between them do they really not have enough? Even those players who build their own house within a house seem to be able to cope just fine judging by the screenshots and videos we see all the time.

The house is not free. You *must* have bought Greymoor, or you would not get access to it. Also, everyone that helped the community achieve this, donated person-hours to this. If you were to put a price on those player hours that were invested, you wouldn't be able to afford it.
So it isn't free. ZOS has just declined to as a price in addition to what we have already paid for it.

There's another category you missed, besides displaying any furniture you have collected or storage. Some players like to decorate their homes. Some try to make the house as it is look like real homes/scenes. Others take it a step further and create extra rooms, buildings, or completely transform the house so it looks nothing like the house they bought. Decorators like this need all the slots you can get. For example, if you are doing a banqueting table, you have all the food and place settings, the tables, lighting, chairs etc. And that's just for the main table setting, before you even start decorating the room around it and the outside of the house. All those items soon add up.
That's what I was getting at with my last point. They seem to do fine judging by the screenshots and videos.

I paid for Greymoor, this house was not part of the transaction therefore the House is free.

Some of which are in far away spots on the property most people will not spend any time near. Just spent about an hour clearing out the clutter inside and removing a few boulders that were literally tucked in a corner of the map that's off the beaten path.
So far I've collected 24 tables of all types. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with 24 Solitude tables... *ponders*

And to be honest, I sure could use those 100 extra slots... ^^;;

Don't get me wrong, the house is appreciated, just wish it was a pool of item slots that could be used for any type of collectable or furnishing, not segmented.
This is exactly what I thought. The issue is not with the 100 more or less traditional furnishing but with the cap in all other kind of categories.
>It means less House guests/pets/mounts/assistants - who all share the same cap.
>It means that a house that would fit the purpose of displaying undaunted busts and trophies is severely more limited than in a regular NOTABLE house.
>It means that you can receive HALF the visitors you would in any other NOTABLE house.
For me it is a letdown, as the house is based on Inns/Taverns layouts in-game, it would have made a cool Undaunted Explorer gathering place, but the cap on visitor, special collectibles and others make it a lot less appealing.
I really don't see why a house that is as big as some other Notable houses end up not getting the same treatment.
I hope this is a BUG and it will be fixed soon
Ya, my favorite house has always been the amaya lake lodge. Id say this is now my favorite house but I have the same problem with it.
With roughly 130+ collectible items, like undaunted trophies, busts, achievement furnishings, and statues, 40 slots is just not enough. Not at all. The less house guests is a huge downer, but i could tolerate it, im not looking for a guild house.
The special furnishing limit of 8 is another huge downer, considering 4 of those will be the banker, merchant, fence, and this new NPC (at least for me). Then you have room for 4 mounts/pets. That sucks, but i could tolerate it.
And having 100 less furnishings sucks too, but 700 isnt even close to enough for a large notable home so 100 less for a slightly smaller home isnt a huge deal to me. Although id say this house is comparable to other notable homes, like the daggerfall overlook, so I dont really understand it.
Regardless the biggest thing for me, again, is the collectible furnishing limit. I think, at least, they should upgrade that in classic and maybe even staple homes.
AyeshaBelladonna wrote: »Yes the category limits in general suck, yes the size of the home screams Notable to many of us based on the layout alone..... but the real concern here should honestly be that we need confirmation as to whether it IS a bug with the listing, and the listing is in error and will be fixed ASAP. Because if this is NOT, if it is an intentional change to the status quo.... we have bigger things to worry about than “is ZOS ever going to raise our caps”.

I'm sad they are choosing the easy route - again.
Well, that's one more house that will be used as an extra furniture deposit. What a shame.
At least I will be able to devote more time to my Stillwater Retreat, got to keep positive thinking here.
