Gifting Houses I Own (not MY house)

Has anyone figured out HOW to gift a house when you already own it?
When I select a house I don't own it has a Purchase option and the gifting option can be selected. When I select a house I already own it has the option to "preview" when I right click (which doesn't do anything) and no option to purchase it as a gift for another player.
Am I missing something?
