I have a few characters that I'd love to rename but the crown price is a bit too much. Perhaps we could have a name day festival once a year with a free rename for each character? or at least a significant discount for the name change token.

However, beware when trading gold and crowns, or anything in-game, with a total stranger. Some will scam you. Seek advice from those you game with.1 -

This was at the start of 2019. They Completely reworked the racial passives, meaning that for many people a lot of their characters were now the wrong race for the style of play they wanted them for.
At first they weren’t going to give any, then they relented to give 1, but after a big outcry from the player base they relented and gave 3 race and 3 name change tokens. Still wasn’t much help to those who needed to change more than 3 characters, [snip]

Well it could have other activities that explore the lore behind the naming conventions of the different races. And I think being able to change names that no longer fit characters would put a lot of people in the mood for festivities.
