Effects persisting through death in BGs

I've had haunting curse and proxy detonation both continue to activate and harm me after death when I respawn in, along with other effects like poison and debuffs. This causes additional time 'out of action' as I have to wait for these to finish and heal myself, or put myself at a disadvantage.
