Night Mother's Gaze Improvement for Hybrids

A small suggestion that would be a nice quality-of-life change for all of the hybrid PvP'ers and solo PvE'ers out there.

Make this set into a hybrid set.

Improved Night Mother's Gaze:

2 items: Adds 833 Weapon Critical / Adds 833 Spell Critical
3 items: Adds 129 Weapon Damage / Adds 129 Spell Damage
4 items: Adds 833 Weapon Critical / Adds 833 Spell Critical
5 items: When you deal Critical Damage you apply Major Fracture and Major Breach to the enemy, reducing their Physical and Spell Resistance by 5280 for 6 seconds.

This change could easily be made without disrupting any existing metas or creating adverse gameplay. The set is little-used since its unique debuff was taken away and most single-attribute builds (apart from stamSorc) already have a better way for obtaining Major Fracture/Breach.

But hybrid builds can't really afford to spend two bar slots (or, even worse, be railroaded into using Sword and Board) on these debuffs, which is where the improved NMA might be attractive.

Ultimately, there is little reason to not be for this change. Nobody would be hurt by it and it would be another small bone thrown to the hybrid build community.

You have a stronger argument then you may think...

    Dragonhold Update 24 Patch Notes:
    • Abilities and item sets that grant Physical and Spell Resistances now grant an equal amount of both as a singular stat – Armor – rather than 2 separate stats.
      • Many item sets that granted X Spell or Physical Resistance now grant .5X Armor. This was done to ensure total power remains the same, with less variance in these stats.
        • Passives that grant a unique source of one have not been adjusted.
      • Major and Minor Resolve now grant an equal amount of Physical and Spell Resistance, and Major and Minor Ward have been discontinued.
      • Note that this has not yet happened to Fracture and Breach or forms of Penetration.

Your idea is cool, but what will end up happening is the set will provide the 1 debuff for both resistances, yet none of the passives will be updated to become hybrid. I'm not super optimistic although your idea seems logical and there is actual evidence that it could go that route with the proposed change to fracture/breach being combined.

This is not improved’ this is getting the set back to its original state. When it was first introduced in 2014-2015 it used to reduce armor instead of major fracture or breach, but I can’t recall if it did have dual stats on 2/3/4 piece though.
