No free respec of abilities?

In previous patches where you have made big changes to abilities, we were given a week of free respeccing at the shrine. This doesn't seem to be the case this time?

Is that an oversight?

Ritual of Retribution was a big change.

I had that as the morph on my magicka templar that I run as both a healer and dps. Get some extra damage in and having to cast it twice as often is no big deal. Now that morph is probably going to have to be swapped for the other one.

Seems with every update ZOS really, really doesn't want characters to be able to switch between dps and healer setups without having to visit a respecification shrine (and pay gold).

Then there's vampires, because Blood for Blood is now officially dead.
This creature called a songbird. What a devious creation! This winged nuisance erodes sanity with its incessant chirping. What a brilliant form of torture!

That’s plenty enough reason for free skill respecs. Its gonna cost me close to 200k to respec all my crafters and farmers so i can get rapids again and then respec them back. Just a poor decision by Zos.

The first isn't really that big, in the whole scheme of things. The second is a matter of opinion. Remember that skill refunds add to the overall disruption.

Why don't just invest another skill point for Rapids? It's not like we're short of them anyway. Way cheaper than 200k for a single skill.

Because my crafters/farmers will be losing rapids so to unlock it again i have to respec them into pvp characters and then back to crafters/farmers again. The ironic part is that I don’t even use rapids on my pvp characters.

Solution to PvP issue is simple (but against the TOS)

Just need to find a way to automate losing BG for a week or so on 18 chars, obviously what ZOS wants

No need to do that just follow poeple and get ap
I did manage emperorship and about 5 million ap in a week on a mag sorc with gear, cp and pve rotation so i guess just under 100k is feasable
Ok it was in a mayhem but you should be able to do 2% of that per character

Also bg are an alternate way as you get 7k to 12k
    Depending on your position

nonsense. join a zerg on your farmer and mend doors for an hour. or run a couple of battlegrounds, your MMR will be zero. you need one set of gear for the first one and you'll get enough drops from bg rewards to fit the rest out.

What about the skill crystal bast being changed to crystal weapon?

I used to use crystal blast as a magicka sorc but not have it show up as crystal weapon. This sucks.

Your missing the point, to do that i have to respec them all. Rapids is the only skill i have on them, all other skill points are in crafting. Then i have to pay to turn them back into crafters again. I probably won’t even bother, except for my farmer. Ill just deal with the extra time it takes to do my daily writs.

Not on PvP characters? assume you only do BG then or is in an organized raid group.
If so have the PvP guild do an trash build event where you bring crafters, bank alts and low levels feeding horses.
I leveled up an new necromancer to 8 in an afternoon in an zerg group during the PvP event, crafted some magic gear, julianos and an sustain set, inprean and a bit heavy, resto staff, and an lvl 15 destro one.
    Why 8 because I had fun :)

I have no issues as I have used my alts to farm transmute geodes.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

There may only have been a dozen or so substantive changes spread across various class and weapon abilities, these changes may not mean change for everyone--but as long as a single skill point is gated behind the cost of changing them all, there should be free respecs on update.

They should change respec fees to reflect the amount of changes made so that people can feel free to try all skills and explore their characters fully. Until they do that, they should make them free after changes even if it's only to one skill.

My understanding is they only do this when there's sweeping changes to a broad skill catagory, for example the audit they did on DoTs a while back. If they did it every time a couple of skills are reworked they'd have to do it every patch, then people would just rework their skills every 3 months whether it affected them or not.

Belkarth in Craglorn because I could do my writs quick and do a small farm route. Ill just skip the farm route on the crafters and just use my main farmer. I guess I shouldn’t complain ive lost much more than 200k golding gear that just ended up getting nerfed. Such is life in Eso.
