Essence of Immovability useless in the fight against Jah'lah

Hi everybody
During the quest „Waters Run Foul” (part of the “The Fallen City of Shada” quest), one fights against “Jah'lah” and her Nedic Warriors. The Nedic warriors launch occasionally a fiery chain to grasp and pull the player to them. Some time ago (less than one year ago) to counter such attack the player could drink the “Essence of Immovability”: drinking that potion prevented the enemy to pull you to them (for some 10 seconds or so), there was also some sort of acoustic effect to signal that such attack was prevented. I definitely remember using with success the essence during that fight.
In the past few weeks I played “The Fallen City of Shada” over and over again and it seems now that the “Essence of Immovability” has no effect at all in this respect: the fiery chain attack seems now to be unstoppable.
Anyone has noticed the same?
