Mist Form tanking and Thurvokun's

I just got this set for my Vampire mist tank and have found there are 2 major issues with Mist form and Thurvokun's.
First is that it won't proc when you're in Mist form. This can be an annoyance but can actually also be a positive in that it allows you to time the proc for certain mechanics since it fires the instant you drop Mist if the set is off cool down.
However the set gets totally ruined for my mist tank build because going back into Mist form after it procs immediately cancels the pool effect. The only way to get the full 8 seconds is to stay out of Mist form the whole time.
Should going into Mist form cancel it out like that, often giving me an uptime of only 1 of every 16 seconds?

✭✭✭✭✭I swear to god up until second sentence I was sure we were discussing the use of mist form while tanking thurvokun.
There are 2 options though.
It is either not intended and should be fixed. Or it is intended and then it is a silly choice.2
