Right now Greymoor is $38.99 on the xbox store. I bought the base game only (disk) back when it came out. I read somewhere that you can't buy it if you already have the base game. Would I be able to buy this and play with my current xbox account that has the characters I currently use?

Also, will all the future expansions contain previous expansions this way? I understand if I buy this right now (because it has the base game included and all previous expansions) I will have to buy all future expansions separately. I just want to know if the next expansions for like 2021 and on will include the new expansion plus Morrowind, Summerset, Elsweyr, and Greymoor like this one does.

This is the product I'm talking about.

I wouldn't fret too much about not having all the chapters, and if you can't get a good deal on purchasing all the chapters.

If you're a returning player they now have Crown gifting which is used for gold/crown exchanging. All Chapters can be found on the crown store after 1 year. Long term players that may not have gotten all the chapters bundled in as they purchased prior can now get those Chapters (and all DLC's) with gold for crowns or just crowns.

As for whether you can purchase a copy on xbox to upgrade an existing copy, I don't know, never tried, just offering a different method of getting those chapters that is probably less costly.

Alternatively, if you spent that $40 on crowns, with that crown sale on ATM, you could probably pick up most of the old chapters.

Hey @Xivilaikhys, the Greymoor Standard Edition (the one you have linked to) includes the base game, Morrowind, Summerset, Elsweyr, and Greymoor and does not conflict with your already purchased base game. You can buy this edition even if you have the base game already.

Thanks a bunch for your reply. I'm not too worried about it because I haven't even finished the main story and I'm not sure if I'll even play enough to do all 4 of the expansion quests. I just wanted to know since I saw it was a pretty good deal at the moment.

Thanks so much. I'm glad I can buy it and have no worries about it. Will future expansions be sold like this, where you can buy the most recent expansion and all the previous ones are included?

    Chapter vs DLC

Chapters are a yearly expansion that costs $$
DLC are in crown store, 3 of the 4 expansions are DLC

    Example, last year
    DLC - Dungeon (Crown store)
    Chapter - Elsweyr (Cash)
    DLC - Dungeon (Crown store)
    DLC - Dragonhold (Crown store)

    ONE YEAR LATER
    DLC - Dungeon (Crown store)
DLC - Elsweyr / Necromancer (Crown store)
    DLC - Dungeon (Crown store)
    DLC - Dragonhold (Crown store)

You can replace Crown store with ESO+.

Chapters, for the first year, are purchased with cash. DLC are either auto unlocked via ESO+ or purchased with crowns.

After 1 year, it all defaults to DLC, acquired via crowns / eso+.

You would buy the greymoor upgrade. To get all past expansions you would have to buy the full greymoor edition or buy the past expansions in the crown store. All future expansions will have either an upgrade edition or a full version that includes everything. Your account is tied to your xbox account so if you uninstalled the game and reinstalled it all your progress and characters would still be there as its all stored at their end

Thanks. This answered my question. I was debating buying the greymoor upgrade and full game that came with all the past expansions right now or waiting until a new expansion came out and buying it then so I can get the new expansion, plus all the previous ones.

I ended up buying it right now.. so I'll have to purchase any new expansions separately.
