ESO desperately needs a mid season patch for balance and large fixes
There are so many major issues with the game when it comes to both PvE and PvP, this update for example finishing Kynes Aegis without a disconnect on console is essentially near impossible and the number of cheesy people running the triple harmony magcro bomber is absurd. Next patch with absurd buffs to proc sets PvP and particularly battlegrounds will be borderline unplayable without a proc set tank given how things are performing on the PTS, many people who dislike the playstyle will simply just not play. This is why the game desperately needs a mid update patch to balance out things in order to stop people from shelving the game for 3 months and make it only 4-6 weeks or so. The proposed changes to AOEs (as well as some that will actually work) could also be implemented and tested in a different way for a better and more reasonable period of time given that many people simply won’t play whilst the testing is performed and in turn lead to totally false feedback. The current system of having to either endure the current problems of the patch or just not play for 3 months is what wipes the population, who after half a year of the game performing terribly and having their class being in the bottom 2 options will keep playing? Whilst if this period was much shorter it would probably stop these players from quitting and not returning, keeping a larger more healthy player population.
