Maintenance for the week of July 14:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – July 14

Shame on you ZOS this is unacceptable!!

Esoblivion
From the 3rd of July I ask you to solve the problem of the unjust ban we suffered together with two other friends of mine. A ban that we cant chat, trade, sell anything to anybody.
I contacted administrators, listened to user opinions and received no response for how long more in reality i should wait. You told me(only the users) that the system is automated and that in ten to fifteen days at most, the problem I have will be over.
Today I ended 17 days of an unjust sentence/ban and my patience ran out.

Shame on you only that. The 400+ euros that you got from 4 people, you got them easily and quickly, to stop the penalty that you unjustly imposed, you want maybe a month!
Shame on you again.
And don't let an administrator answer me about the ticket number, look for it, find it.

Shame!

I'm curious to what the three or four of you did to be banned simultaneously, as you must have done something for this to happen. Even though, I'm sorry for your lost time.

Automated bans can trigger from server glitches or add-ons that inadvertently flood the server with requests. The problem here is the long response times from support. A ban made in error should not take weeks to be resolved.

The thing is that ZOS never tells people why they were "social banned". Hell, they don't even tell people that they have been social banned. It is all stealth and hidden from the users. If they ever have, that information has not reached me. So, as far as I know, there is no way to reliably pin a single action down as the cause of the ban.

They say to never attribute to malice that which can be suitably explained by incompetence, but from here, it certainly looks like Sheogorath has taken over and is deliberately messing with people.

That just sounds absurd tbh. Even if OP (or anyone else, I definitely wouldn't put it past them to ban people by mistake, it's happened before) did do something wrong, what's the point of punishment if he doesn't know what he actually did wrong? How's one supposed to do better next time if one doesn't know what's 'better'? At that point one might as well assume there's no such thing as a social ban but a virus/bug running loose, breaking people's accounts left and right, since there's no official confirmation one way or the other.

If it is indeed a legit system introduced by ZOS, it's mind boggling how they could think it's a good idea.
