"Lotus Fan" proposed change.

This next update(v6.1) will be making a change to the 2-handed skill "Critical Charge" morph "Stampede" from dealing initial single target direct damage then AoE DoT to both being AoE. This is probably to make the new set "Unleashed Terror" from the new dungeon work in AoE with it, so that Templar class isn't the only one who can benefit from this in AoE.
The new set says:
"When you deal direct damage with a Charge, Leap, Teleport, or Pull ability, you cut your enemy, causing them to bleed for 5 seconds, dealing xxxx Physical Damage over the duration. This ability can occur once every 10 seconds per target."
Only Templars have a direct damage AoE charge with the "Focused Charge" skill morphed to "Explosive Charge" which would make this unfairly biased towards them as both of those being AoE has also allowed the "Tormentor" set to now AoE taunt for both that Templar charge skill and the 2-hand weapon charge skill.
Now, our Nightblade skill "Teleport Strike" morph "Lotus Fan" is almost identical to the 2-hand skill "Stampede", but it hasn't gotten the change that the other skill did. We need "Lotus Fan" to get the same change to have the initial direct damage burst be AoE so that we too can use the "Unleashed Terror" item set in the same way.
It can't be as powerful or potentially unbalanced as "Stampede" also because "Lotus Fan" and "Explosive Charge" do not also have the Maelstrom Arena weapon "Mericiless Charge" set to buff that even more.
Please change the "Lotus Fan" initial direct damage single target hit to AoE the same way that "Stampede" as changed so that Nightblades and Templars and anybody using 2-handed weapons can all benefit the same from the new set "unleased Terror" and the older set "Tormentor".

Sordidfairytale✭✭✭✭✭I think this would be a good benefit to that skill.
DK's Take Flight and WW Brutal Pounce also have an initial AOE damage and proc Tormentor and Terror with AOE. The WW pounce on live is split into two damages though. This PTS they corrected how that works.The Vegemite Knight

PTS forums is for testing, evaluation, and feedback on ACTUAL changes proposed by ZOS in the upcoming major update.
PTS forums is not for player ideas that may or may not make it into a future patch.
It's an idea worth discussing ... but this is the wrong venue.2 -

but it's relative to the new sets and skill changes that are on the pts. Even though it's titled as "proposed change" it seems like more of an inquiry of why lotus fan didn't get the same change stampede got since they were already very similar skills.
You're probably right but, to me, this seems like the proper venue to discuss anything relative to the update on the PTS.0 -
