Magsorcs need some love

From a PvE DPS perspective, can we get something for magsorcs? It's been years all they've seen is constant nerfing. Starting from when they took the stun away from frag.

The execute is lame. The sustain is garbage. The damage is low. The passives are useless, except one, for which people simply run one OT sorc.

I mean, yes, you can clear everything with whatever, but how many groups you see running more than one sorc? That too a tank these days.

Even a magden is more wanted now. Most magsorc mains are simply crafters now. It's just sad.

To me, Sorc needs to go back to the drawing board. Nothing but a Hobbled "wish I was a Necro" class.

People have done vMA with auto attacks of a bow. The fact that Sorcerers can handle vMA quite easily doesn't mean anything in terms of group play.

Clearly you don’t play a Sorc in PVE because everything mentioned is accurate.

It should have included the pve perspective thing in the title.

As a pvper, reading "magsorcs need buffs" in the forums is like reading "Free beer" or "[snip]" signs while walking on the street, it really gets my attention. 😂

OH my gosh thats a disaster! Why on earth should stamsorc get a piece of the 90% magsorc biased class kit!? 😱

Im on high mmr, magsorcs wardens and necros only, they all dominante there as well 😉

Magsorc is a ez class, top tier for 1vsX

Crystal Frag hard cast should just be an instant cast. It’s only 0.1s slower than instant abilities in 6.1.0, and can be used as a clunky spammable. Another slight reduction in speed and it would actually be smooth to use, while opening a slot on Sorc bars where a non-class spammable was always needed. Obviously the hard cast damage could be reduced a little more to be similar to other instant cast spammables, and the proc damage could stay the same as it’s always been for burst.

dont get me wrong magsorc is stong class but its not something like dominate class. people ussualy thought see magsocr have most of kills so its dominant class.. hm but most of the kills came from delay execute. when u take to account other factors like burst potential total damage per bg total heal per bg etc. its comprable to others.. i dont think magsorc need any buff but -21% to crystal frag its huge... is it really needed? i dont think so..

I saw 10% cost reduction on abilities after frags proc. Pets get a small buff (unless u r running necropotence). Generally sorc got small buffs here and there in 6.1.0. But what sorc really needs, is for them to f***ing fix liquid lightning and the other morph to actually be the whole duration.

I would like a little help with sustain (without a nerf to "balance" the sustain) and I would like to not have so many slots taken up by useless active abilities that have essential passives attached. Those are my pain points.

Yes, mag sorc is weak in pve and needs some rework.

PVE is where I spend 95% of my time. I would like to be more viable in Trials as some classes are. I don’t want a buff that breaks PVP, just a buff that helps my group.

ESO will never be able to balance PVE and PVP perfectly...but if across the board all MagSorcs are doing 10% more damage in PVP, give me a debuff will PVPing but don’t let it effect my PVE play.

I have always thought it was funny how so many people that main other classes are so against a buff for their fellow players that would make a lot of trials run smoother.

I'm glad you opened up your post with PvE OP, b/c it's an important callout. They are strong in PvP, arguably the best in many cases. Stam versions are solid, Even pretty decent tanks. But PvE DPS needs something. Especially if you don't want to run a pet build.

Personally I always though they should rework one of the execute morphs, make one as it is for good pvp use and change the other to be something more useful in PvE. Other than that some minor tweaks could close a few gaps if they tinker with passives a bit and clean that up.

I agree. The bloodthirsty nerf doesn’t help out execute either.

Well according to the Patch Notes, Sorc got sustain, though Frags and the Rebate passive and yes Frags was nerfed but now has a quicker cast time and can proc off of itself.
I agree they need a little work like LL is still very expensive, small radius and low damage.

Also in regards to Warden, pretty sure they were only wanted because of the huge DPS they pull only due to their boost to Blood for Blood, which has been nerfed.

Really get tired of willing people that compare magSorc PVP from PVE. Zenimax SHOULD be able to make different fixes from PVE or PVP. All this willing are making Sorceres getting more and more nerfs.

From a PVE Perspective again they are killing magSorcs. I don't wanna play as a necromance to be able to hit high DPS.

I completely agree but to rewrite code is not their wheelhouse...cut/paste, add/subtract is about all you will get.😖

I don’t understand why they don’t just increase liquid lightning damage, it’s not like that’s used in pvp anyways and the ability is somewhat weaker relative to other comparable dots
