Just a couple of suggestions for ZOS here. Dunno if anyone will see them, but I've suggested them in-game, too.
- Zimmeron's an Idiot. That's my title for this. He is. Could we please update his scroll quest offering in Cyro so that ALL scrolls are simply listed and we can CHOOSE the one we are looking for? This is a SMALL thing but it's ever so annoying when a scroll or multiple scrolls are in someone's hands, being run, and the guy gives us Altadoon OVER AND OVER. On EP, at least, this guy's got a serious kink thing for Altadoon!
- Item names - reverse the naming of items so that they all land together alphabetically in banks & inventories. Not just armor/weapon sets, but how about surveys and treasure maps? Some examples:
-
- "Ancient Dragonguard or Bright-Throat's Boast or Curse-Eater's pieces. These are BEAUTIFUL examples! They all land together alphabetically! Surely it wouldn't take much to rename objects like "Girdle of Kagrenac's Hope" to "Kagrenac's Hope Girdle" or "Gloves of Winter's Respite" to "Winter's Respite Gloves" -- ? Hell, if you all use SQL (any kind), I can write the rename script for you in 30 minutes or less.
- Surveys and Treasure maps... Same thing! Can you please change stuff like "Alchemist Survey: Glenumbra" to "Glenumbra: Alchemist Survey" ??
These itemization name changes SHOULD be a pretty simple little swap code-wise if you're using a relational database but it would make life SO MUCH nicer in-game!
I guarantee you have HUNDREDS of players who spend MANY hours sifting through their sets after crafting, during testing & parsing, or while digging up stuff in the world who would LOVE YOU for such a small thing.
If I could open my pack and see quickly that I have 2+ surveys in the same zone, you will see me port to that zone IMMEDIATELY. This also helps make your game look & feel fully populated as players like myself would not feel this negative twinge when looking at these surveys piling up and thinking... "okay... fine... I'll do some to free up space. Now, what Calculus equation can I use to figure out which zone has the most, so I can NOT waste my time?"
In before "there's add-ons for surveys and treasure maps": yeah - but all they really do is show you on the MAP. Thus, the best practice at the moment is to click on each zone in which you know you already have a survey and see if another "X" exists on that map with it. Even naysayers should agree with me that it would be nicer if everything defaulted to group by ZONE name in our inventories & banks.
