Alchemy, in one of the Summerset quests. Born male, used magic to transition to female. Actually pretty integral to the quest story line.

    And she’s just a mortal.

Boethiah has been both male and female at different times. As has Vivec.

And that’s just off the top of my head.

    Mephala

Well all the princes a5e genderless, but yeah only a couple have been seren has either gender thus far.

They're genderless AND sexless, because they can transform into either/both/neither, and do so on the regular. It's part of the lore, plus they're demons and don't need a sex/gender anyway, go read the numerous sources of information about it if you like.

I mean, even Molag Bal, Lord of domination and brutality (and, ahem, other things) is said to have a female form for interacting with some of his lady cult members.

They may have a gender, they may be genderless, but you can't say either as we don't know.I have seen on some places people making your same assuptions, that because they can appear as male or female it makes them genderless which is wrong you should not assume anyone/things gender or lack of, regular gender swaps does not indicate a lack on gender, jsut a willingness to use gender as a tool of influence or for other reasons.

Edited by me after the censorship of posts on here earlier I removed this post, apparently you can't point out story lines in there game hinting at a very unusual relationship "sweet rotmeth brew" if you haven't done the mission yet watch you tube. This was not my story if your ashamed of it's connotations don't do them!

Games 17+ rating you sure, people are obviously going to point them out or discuss them in the forums discussion especially about being inclusive well this one pushes the boundary a bit.

It's already in the game, if you count "transgender people exist in Tamriel and get to transition using magic if they want" as a sociopolitical statement.

The difference is, they didn't sell the quest as some kind of diversity BS. Maybe someone thought that when they created it, but I don't remember any point in time when they advertised with it. And it's not like they are plastering the entire game with such quests, so I think it's pretty realistic that when dealing with thousands of NPCs you'd encounter 1 or 2 who are trans. [snip]

If we can be lobbying for all the other things we ask for on the forums, I don't really mind asking for (more) trans representation. I mean, look at how ZOS does a much better job with same-sex relationship than Skyrim did! Skyrim had one couple and they were already dead. ESO has a number of living couples and most of them are shown through simple asides in the dialogue - its all very normal in Tamriel. Since ZOS seems to be going the same way with trans folks, I'd prefer to see more and treated in the same way: normal, small details about the characters that no one in Tamriel really bats an eye over.
