Ancient Dragonguard is easy to craft and pairs well with a class that relies upon mobility for survivability.

You generally want a straight damage set with it - like new moon, hundings, etc - which one is really depends on your play style.

I'll agree with rumple9 on this one. I've also found that gryphons with defiler worked well for me for battlegrounds.

I always see people saying run 2 damage sets - what about some sustain? Don't you guys running 2 damage sets find you run out of stam/mag real quick?

It's usually best to use a sustain glyph and two damage sets versus using a sustain set and all damage glyphs.

Of course, some classes are easier to pull that off with. For example, with the costliest skills in the game, I can't see how magDKs can operate without either a sustain set, sustain food (sub-optimal versus Sugar Skulls, especially for a melee class that needs the Stamina) or basically all sustain glyphs.

On my stam sorc, i run lava foot food, 3 infused wep dmg glyphs, and all damage sets. The nearly 500 stam regen from lava foot is enough for my stam sorc, even in noCP.

How? Dark Deal. It makes sustain so easy on stam sorc.

With 2 damage sets the time to kill is much quicker so you do save some resources. Depending on stam or mag, 2 hand gives you a 30% stam recovery after a kill and destro also gives you around 3k mag return. Each class also has a way to get resources back like netch, leeching strikes, rune, etc.

You do have to be more careful with spamming skills, but I enjoy the play style. The only time i run into an issue is fighting a dk that spams immobilize, but thats my fault for not running shuffle.

Edit: I also run either dubious or withmothers drink which also helps with sustain

Why not go stuhn over spriggan?

Depends on how often you fight enemies who are off balance. Since OP is stam it's not unlikely that they don't have a source for it, especially if they run no CP, which means you need to rely on someone else to apply it. Dizzying Swing wold be the only viable source from it. I know when I play sniper I have zero sources for it in my arsenal, thus I prefer Spriggan as that works 100% of the time even when I'm solo.

    So, dependent on skill setup.

Also Stuhn has a pretty long cooldown, even if you reaply off-balance constantly it will be down for over 10s (assuming ofc it's a 1v1).

Off balance is 7 seconds uptime and 15 seconds downtime, so Stuhn has a downtime of 5 to 6 seconds in a 1v1 on a dizzy build

I would not make any set selections for anything until the next patch is finalized in a month or so. Til then, anything is possible with nerfs and buffs, they are WELL-KNOWN to slide in inexplicable or other nerfs/changes of highly used things in ESO near the last iteration of the patch. They are also well-known to utterly ruin and destroys sets, skills, etc. See, of one of hundreds of examples... Elegant Set.

So hold what you got or if you are in the mood for an expensive gamble... but consider not pouring lots of resources into the expensive parts and stick to purple other than weapons.

I love Ring of the Wild Hunt. Very good in PvP, and super fun in PvE out of combat, moving at run speed cap all the time.

My recommendation: test stuff yourself. And this is NOT a troll. You'll see SO MANY people in here suggesting so many "meta" things that work(ed) for them. But it might not get you what you want.

After thousands of hours working out my own builds, it has been my experience that good set combinations you select from REALLY only get you to a point where you're trying to eke out a few more points here & there. So...
    1. First figure out what helps YOU in YOUR playstyle survive and/or kill the best. Do you need speed of movement? Do you hit harder with max stam or max weapon damage? Easy to find out: find a set that offers similar stats to Hunding's and do some damage to a test dummy with one specific ability (like dizzy swing mebbe) with NO BUFFS. Swap that set out for one that gets you to similar stats but maybe higher stam w/ lower wep damage. Do the same attack, the same number of times, and see which damage is higher.
    2. Then I suggest going over to the ESO-Sets website and do Advanced Search a few times. Find sets that offer the stat(s) that you want/need AND that you know you can get easily. Be that through crafting, spending gold, spending AP, etc.
    3. NOW, limit that list down to ones that offer the best additional bonus(es) that fit your playstyle: like speed of movement, or a buff that you can't naturally give yourself as a sorc...stuff like that.
    4. Get the sets to the same crafted level, like purple or whatever. And go test. You might be AMAZED at what you find works best **FOR YOU**.

Please know this is not a troll at all, not sarcastic. Truly trying to help as I have found advice in these forums on sets is often just people spouting off about what worked for them or what they've heard works. And that advice may fit you! But you won't ACTUALLY know if there's anything better out there for **your playstyle** until you've really tried it yourself.

Good luck with it and happy hunting! Hope you find what you're looking for and either stomp me into the ground with it someday in Cyro or I get to watch you stomp others if you're EP. :)
