Tweak Unnatural Movement Passive to Make Stage 4 Vampire More Appealing?

Stage 4 Vampire isn't all that appealing to me because there aren't many scenarios where I think "Oh good, I'm glad I have that passive where I can sprint for 3 seconds to become invisible." I've been thinking of ways to tweak that passive to make playing in stage 4 more appealing/useful.

Could removing the 3-second condition and granting instant invisibility when you begin to sprint make it more appealing? Then you could at least use it instantly for defense, I guess, as an alternative to mist form. The main concern would be if that would cause problems in PVP, but requiring sprinting does lock you out of doing anything else because performing any other action breaks sprint and therefore invisibility -- so maybe it wouldn't be an issue? Thoughts?

It is already quite useful in pvp. Making it activate instantly on sprint would be OP.

I agree that stage 4 penalties vs benefit doesn't make any sense. And that invisibility takes more then 3 seconds to activate, something like 3.5. In 3.5 seconds I can simply go to stealth.

I would lower it to 2 seconds Sprinting to activate.

3 seconds (longer if accounting for lag) does feel a tad too long but making it instantaneous would be too much.

I've also noticed while testing that the invisibility is finicky -- minor terrain, such as a small pebble, all-too easily disrupts sprint and breaks the invisibility.

Stage 4 plus the ring of sprinting sure are making light work of those scout mission tickets though!

I convinced my boyfriend to try stage 4 in pvp on his warden and his survival has increased greatly. It is a great escape tool and does not need any buffs. The massive cost increase makes it a no go though in most cases.

I still hope they remove the cost increase completely and replace it with a different penalty. Vampire is more for the fun rather than true power.

I messed around with it for a bit on one character and enemy dots seemed to be breaking the invisibility -- is your boyfriend beginning his sprint before people see him, or is he using sprint/invisibility to escape while in the middle of combat?

In the middle of combat indeed. Sometimes in front of the eyes of zergs. We sprint away from them, I turn around to stun them with my streak and that is usually enough for him to slip away.

It works fine unless there are aoes happening.

The new vampire lord set is the right choice and remember that the current setting forces you to fully commit to the vampire playstyle.
The pvp benefit of the last perk is huge

No, dot's don't break vamp invis.

Sometimes it gets broken by uneven terrain, but you can avoid it by jumping in the right moment, or by avoiding unflat terrain.

In order to escape zergligs you need to build for mobility + stamina sustain. On my magnecro I use dodge -> RAT -> dodge -> sprint -> invis. Combined with wild hunt ring and magnecro stam-sustain skills, it allows me to escape in like 85% of situations when I'm heavily outnumbered. Of course you have to pay attention to what is happening around, and start escaping before the whole zerg starts gap closing.

Also, it is significantly more powerful against AoE compared to NB's cloak, since good luck AoEing someone running away with speed cap.

    Edit: grammar

Bro stop trying to kill vamp playstyle please... I would rather they remove nightblade class completely and think of some less crying about identity class

Nightblade has had invisibilty in eso since day 1 and it has been a class defining skill for nightblades since day 1.Vamps only got invisibility with greymoore meaning vamps stole nightblade identity and not the other way around......its already bad enough as is but if people can go invis imediatly you might as well delte the entire nightblade class

    That's a bug, check here:

    nightblade = thief/assassin class

Is it stealing if you steal from a thief? No

    Thus, I don't see a problem here
