With all that's going on in the world, I just wanted to toss a shout-out to TES and the community at large as a thank you. These last few months I've been struggling with the news of, "You've got cancer!" and now through the uncertainty of post-operation and waiting for upcoming news.
Getting to play ESO each morning gives me something wonderful to look forward to every day. Before surgery, I'd worked myself up to try a dungeon (this is my first MMO, shush) and after, it's just relaxing things like doing surveys and wandering the landscape.
For a long-term goal, I'm saving in case the Murkmire house comes back around (I'd joined just after the celebration--I think?). And if it doesn't, there are bound to be wonderful things to look forward to and discover in the months ahead.
Keeping out of your own headspace is key in times like these. Connecting with others despite COVID and its shadowy threat overhead is another, and ESO has given me both of those. It's also given me and my husband great memories--we'd played Morrowind in college together, and seeing these landscapes in ESO again is a wonderful thing.
Thank you, and especially to the friends who brought us here.
It's good to visit the world of Elder Scrolls again, and meet you all.
