Why so many Templars in non-cp BG's?

Like seriously it's insane, I barely see any other class on Xbox NA, at this point it's getting annoying. I mean, I dont mind dying, but damn I would kill for something else on my kill screen other than biting jabs or puncturing sweep. Is there a reason why there is so many, or am I the only one being swarmed by them??

I hear using the /sweep emote on any you actually manage to kill can be therapeutic.

It's a really easy class to pick up and succeed well with. I got my paragon withing 2-3 matches just spamming jabs. I feel like most people just see it as why should I try harder on a different class when an easier alternative is right here.

I've mained a magplar from day one. I guess people are just jumping on the bandwagon because they heard healing was taking a hit. It's not because the class is that good (because it's not), they're just picking the class that they believe will do best in a low-healing patch. In scalebreaker it was because of the purge.

The thing that amuses me the most with the changing meta is that regardless of which class it is - my build with that class will still kind of suck.

Bcz stamplars have the best pvp burst in the game and magplars are able to easily win the medic medal with very little build commitment. Plus bcz templars are soo blah in pve (outside of healers) im sure more and more players are players aee demoting their magplars to grind duty

Because they have yet to figure out that you can literally cheese a templar to death/give them a turbo tier headache by dodge rolling into/through them when they use jabs..followed up by smacking them in the back

No other stam move on templar is used for damage. PoTL is utter trash.

Now if you made PoTL cast on us and let it violently explode upon hitting the target with any move that would be amazing.

Give me a cone damage.

It's a single target move now that only I can explode...

So it should not be cleansed, let me start attacking them, and then let a ferocious blast imbue my weapon to deal the PoTL damage...

Whether from a light attack, Jab, heavy attack, Executioner, etc... Once the time runs the damage stops going up or if i get up to the damage it blasts them with it next move.

stamsorcs have never even been that strong in pvp compared to any other classes for years. Only special stuff about that you can get stamina back and run fast, which is completely pointless since people are running like sonic the hedhehog with the wild hunt ring.
i'll give stamden and stamcro their part, you gotta keep your many buffs up all the time which is quite tedious for me.
but magplar and stamplar is like playing the game on "novice" mode.

This is how you know whether you're facing a skilled or not skilled templar. If you dodge through them and they instantly turn around and jab you, they are skilled. If they jab into thin air for a few seconds while being confused as you kill them, they are not skilled....

Maybe you have a broken build because that's not my experience.

Almost every class poll ever ran shows magplar as the most popular class or most 'fun' class.

All round its a very easy class to use for almost all content.

Additionally it was the only viable healing class at launch so if you wanted to heal then you went magplar.

Regarding BGs, it's a very safe proof class to go and is more forgiving than other classes and setups (turtle up on sword and shield bar and heal up). Unlike stam classes that require more time and skill to get used to.

Personally I see more magsorcs than any other class in BGs however magplars are definitely up there in terms of numbers.

And nothing wrong with that. I'd even say that how "fun" it is should be the benchmark for other classes. Remember when stamNB was the poster child of what a stamina class should be? Instead of bringing other classes up to speed they tore NBs down. What a waste. This is the first patch since the siege intermezzo I find no CP more *** up than CP pvp. I know, tastes are different, but we're back to proctard or one shot meta in there. So I don't think it's a good standard to compare classes at the moment. Even tho some implications can surely still be made from there.

Templar is a base class, you don't have to buy it.

Stamplars are decent but still get hella outperformed by stamina necro, sorc or warden. It’s whether that or ya’ll play in low MMR games because the good ol’ ‘jab jab jab’ sends you to spawn straight away in high mmr.

Stamplars do not have the best burst lol would have an argument if you said best pressure but definitely not best burst.

Well not much to the typical magplar combo. Potl gap close stun ult jab jab jab. I see less stamplars by comparison but they’re just a more mobile version.

No, there's not. All BGs are still no-CP. People seem to miss that somehow.
