The Crown Crates drop rates seem bugged

In all the crown crates i opened i got 5 times one of the seasonal mounts FIVE TIMES it was the SAME mount - the wolf

You know what the probability is that this happens? 0.032%

yeah, sorry but something is either bugged or influenced, saying that this is unlikely is a grandious understatement, I am more likely to get eaten by a shark than this...

Somewhere there exists a spreadsheet that has tracked the drop rates of crown crate items.

The drop rates of the good stuff are low. Absurdly low- much lower than you'd think, actually. If you have the money to spend to open hundreds go right ahead, but they're rigged beyond belief.

It's at the point where I just buy a pack of 15 when they first come out. I never try to get any apex stuff because I know I won't get them and don't really like any of them anyway. I pretend they don't exist. I like getting the emotes, skins, pets, costumes and furnishings

at least you get plenty of gems out of it and can easily buy other mounts. you know what bad luck is? getting the same cheap hat 6 times in a row for a WHOLE 5 gems back per hat with the rest being consumables.

I don't know if the droprates are bugged or working as intended, to be honest I don't even care... But I wan't to THANK YOU all for wasting your money buying crown crates and keeping the game free to play for me!

Your own, or your friend's personal drop rates will never give a comprehensive picture of drop rates.
The site [snip] tracks drop rates from multiple sources.
It's not perfect since not everyone who opens crates contributes their data, but it's better than anecdotes.

There's no data for the Nightfall ones yet, but the previous Gloomspore crates had a 2% drop chance of an Apex card.
Looking at random previous Crates, the Baandaari, Storm Atronach, and Psijic Vault all had a 2% chance of Apex too.

So... getting 5 seasonal mounts was actually incredibly lucky for you. The gems you got from the duplicates are even worth more than if you had gotten different mounts you didn't actually want, because you can spend the gems on ones you do want. There are tons of people who open Crates and never see a single Apex.

All of that randomness is within the scope of the drop rates - that's why they are gambling crates.

Back when they were still giving out free Crates at the beginning of each season, there were several people who got Apex and even Radiant Apex mounts from those free 3 Crates... while others who actually bought 30+ Crates didn't manage to get any. I remember because the bragging and the salt in guild chat used to increase during those promotions lol

Not sure if I'm lucky or unlucky. Never ever since 2014 had a radiant Apex mount drop. However I did get the normal Apex curse horse and normal Apex curse guar yesterday.

Still can some changes be made? So you're guaranteed to always get at least two epic or better items? Just bugs me how many potions, pots, mimic stones etc, we always get.

This is why you never spend money to buy crates/crowns, if people would stop paying for their unscrupulous practices they might actually just make a shop for you to click and purchase what you want. Its a fool's game that feeds a deceitful business model.

Your complaining about getting a apex mount 5 times? Wow that is an new one, its like someone complaining about winning the jackpot.
You should be grateful the Rng choose to favor you. 132 Gems each time the mount is drawn. You can buy other radiant mounts with that or the new Accursed Death which by far is the best looking polymorph Zenimax has ever made.

The only mount I ever got was from one of those free crates (dwarven wolf). Thankfully I've never liked any of the mounts in those crates not even that one for them to have a draw for me. I like to gamble too but they just don't make the crates worth bothering with to me. Much like the store of late. Nothing has been appealing to me in over a year I guess. Anything that pipes my interest usually has a price that knocks it back down and the crates seem the worse offenders considering the price you'd probably end up paying. Have the same issue with GW2 chests.

My friend opened 150 Crates, got only 2 Normal Apex and that's it, he didn't even got repeated Apex. I opened less then 15 got the Apex Horse i want and proceed to never buy it again.

Never go trying to get Legendary Apex my friend, they're just RNG you can open 900 Crates and don't get any and another person can open 3 Crates and get on first try, it's pure RNG, there's no % to it.
