What are the odds that we will ever get a new class?

Obviously there are balance changes, and performance issues that need to be fixed before we start adding new classes, BUT all that aside.

What new class would you want them to add to the game?

Maybe a Spriggan class? Could be interesting.

    I want to see an ebonflesh spell in the Battlemage's tanking skill line. Also it feels over due to walk though that gate at Varen's wall into the Colovian Estates.

    I think the only damage type that isn't already majorly focused on by any class is Oblivion Damage.

    Perhaps a new Class and Race could work for that. A Daedric Race, and an Oblivion Damage class.

    I just hope they dont go with the same route as with Necro and Warden cause then magicka will be lackluster for PVP :neutral:

    The two most favorite classes are Bard and Monk on past forum polls so that's what I'm going on by the ESO community's choice but ESO Dev's and ZoS its a different story. But I agree with some of the guys here about new skill lines or new types of PVP.

    Battlemage as cyrodil is next year. I hope we get melee magic weapon with it as well to make the class make sense.

    Sounds pretty lame when sorcerer exists. It would be like releasing a brawler type class while Dk exists... Oh wait.

    All this combat standardisation could possibly be moving towards them releasing spell crafting. Players might be expecting a new class next year, releasing spell crafting instead would break the cycle, and open it up to "something else" every couple of years and not just a class.

    A new class is a lot of work for the combat team, 3 themed skill lines and a few new animations (and some old ones :trollface: ). Necromancer theme worked well, but the Warden frost line seemed a bit odd (could've had a weather themed skill line, might have worked better).

    I'd rather see some new weapon skill lines instead of a new class. Weapon and Focus for magicka, and spears for Stamina. It's the dream I want but will probably never get to have. ( By focus I mean things like spell tomes, orbs, crystals, and skulls. What it looks like would depend on the motif style. )

    The last thing this game needs is another class. Half of them are useless as is. Actual balance of current classes without involving the marketing team trying to sell new content needs to to happen first.

    what's top rn on suggested classes is a monk and a battlemage i would prefer a monk though tbh ;p

    Both battlemage and monk (which are at the top for requests) aren't really new "classes" - they could simply be new weapon skills i.e. unarmed and sword/wand, foci, tome, etc. A new class for me would have to be something more than just a stamsorc or magblade with different animations. I know people have requested bards as well... But i am not a huge fan of the concept. Plus there's no real need for a charisma based class considering the limited dialogue options and as a buff/support class they would have to bring something major to replace a tank or healer. Honestly, I just don't see them adding one in the near future. New weapon skills and some more magic lines available via the mages/psijic guilds I could see.
    Tl;dr i don't think a new class is on the list, but some new weapon/combat skill lines would be what i would bet on.

    In my opinion it is rather time to give up on classes altogether, than introducing a new one.
    As we have only 12 skills to slot we are limited enough.
    And by opening all skill lines to every character all balance issues will be gone :-)

    Forget new content for a while & forget adding new DLC, this is a list of what is actually needed in the game:
    1: Handheld magic/ giving you the option to not use your staff to L/H Attack but instead it will shoot from your hand, like a spell.
    2: Spellcrafting.
    3: Combat pet skin / summon Atronach.
    4: Summon weapon.
    5: Change the Housing item limit.
    6: Multi Attunable crafting station.
    7: Add Writ boards and Writ Drop-off's for housing.
    8: Cut the crown price of Mundus stones (4000x13? 52000 crowns?).
    9: Visual upgrade for all spell and animation.
    10: More structural item, door, floors, arch, walls for all size and shape.
    11: Dusting and adding things to the mage guilds.

    YES and that's the whole point TES game, everyone can pick everything they want there's no class

    Except of class specific weapons which are contradiction of Elder Scrolls tradition - you can use whatever you want playing who you want.

    But class specific morphs of skills... That's awesome idea!

    If there is another then I’d want Battlemage and I’d really want it to be a tank/heals focused class (obviously with some DPS potential). I think a slower more tactical class could be interesting, maybe where chaining attacks in certain ways changed them (which could give a great chance to use Alteration/Mysticism) or where building stacks of buffs is part of class identity. Something to give it a unique flavour that reflects the lore of Imperial Battlemages.

    I’m not sure if we’ll get a new class, but if we do I think it’ll be Battlemage. I also think that would be the last one for a very long time.
