Though Varen would be funny, come to think of it. He did defeat the reachman Emperor Leovic, after all, so there's a tiny tenuous connection there.

That would be cool, I miss ma boy Verandis. My point was more that the chapter this year has been pretty much a fill the gap formula the same as last year thus far.

From the perspective of the Graymoor storyline, Varandis Ravenwatch is in a state of being both before and after the Rivenspire main quest. I wonder what sad cludge the story tellers will devise to resolve that temporal ambiguity. Their track record is not the best.

Verandis probably will not be mentioned, but it could be made, as if Ashen Lord would want to get Fennorian to his side, or kill him, as retaliation for Verandis betraying him. Like Fennorian continuing Verandis's leagacy or smth. There probably could be some of the Dawnguard too, but I doubt we will see Varen. He could make an appearance next year- Oblivion anniversary, and some npc's talked about cyrodiil region.
