How common are meta builds in PvP?

there is no clear meta for pvp to be honest. There are several good sets that are common but you are free to experiment with different combos and make something good.

In BG's all I see is proc sets. Open world there is a lot of variety.

Meta is always a weird one, most Stam players use nma and 2h the other 2 sets or mythic etc... is variable. Alot of magdks use elf bane probably meta for them. The meta is hard thing to describe. If I had to nail it down I'd say health recovery and proc sets seem to be the thing. Am I running it? No I like max stat builds and like to feel responsible for the damage caused 👍

Lately I've just been doing the daily BG for transmute crystals since I needed to transmute a 11 things (just two left!) on my necromancer after main swapping. Was too lazy to get her a pvp set separate from the pve one so just running the full magicka pve build. Works pretty well, I'm a bit of a glass cannon but I tend to kill a lot more people than I get deaths.

Just because a streamer says its meta doesn't mean it is.
PvP is more about player skill than a certain build.
Don't follow the sheep, those self promoting muppets streamers get wrecked just like everyone else.

Not that you can play any build at the moment with the current performance issues.

I love new moon acolyte and spriggan plan on testing stuhns soon my builds always have a balance of damage and sustain I try different combinations of sets.

but zos does not help with things, with what they have done lately, they have just made ball groups more op, so over the last week you may have no choice in going to meta
