Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the trash mobs you need to kill are outside Bthzark.

Edit: To everyone saying it is inside, I got mine from wolves outside Bthzark. Alcast's guide says Bthzark location, not Bthzark delve.

Here's how you farm this:

Everyone in Bthzark groups up. You run a clockwise circle around the first main room, and every just TAGS the mobs once. You don't sprint; you JOG. By the time you do a full loop, all the mobs are starting to respawn, and you can loot the corpses on the next loop around. Once you have the lead, loot any remaining corpses you haven't yet to clear them off the ground, drop the group, leave. This works for farming the wolf lead; this works for farming the dwemer star chart lead. As a large group, not only do you have the benefit of organized kills/spawns, but even if you don't manage to tag a mob, you can generally loot it because you're in the group.

Of course, trying to get everyone in Bthzark to DO this is like herding cats, because people are selfish and terrible.

I went in there (and have opened dozens upon dozens of chests) for the Dwemer Star Chart. Dropped the stupid wolf part after about 5 minutes, still never got my furnishing.

I got mine from the inside. I also got the star chart lead in there.

Get a stam toon, equip the Ring of Wild Hunt, and you will be killing more mobs than everyone else.

I lost count. I think both took 45 minutes.

I ran it from front(closest entrance to wayshrine) to middle but didn`t cross the bridges and got mine.

Eh.
I went to farm ectoplasmic discharge... killed maybe 500 ghosts, and no joy. I have up months ago. Then it dropped two days ago from a ghost wolf in a greymoor public dungeon... felt a little vexed when I tought about all that wasted effort earlier, but happy I never have to grind ghosts again.
Moral of the story?

Just accept that luck often only happens when you are not chasing it, and move on. Stop by every so often, spend some tile spaying mobs, but don't expect anything, that way you won't be disappointed, and when it does drop... you will be all the more joyful for it.

I ran for about 45 mins too. 20 minutes outside killing woves - got the Dwemer Star Chart after just 5 mins. Ran inside for 25-30 mins before I got it. At that point I was the only one farming.

One of the leads I was chasing was in Eldon Hollow from the last boss (can't recall the lead name) and it legit took me more than 30 attempts before it dropped... now that is what I call a massive time thief right there..!

I miss 2 leads for the Ebon Wolf mount: I've ran Darkshade Caverns II more than 40 times and I've killed a delve group boss in Craglorn more than 20 times. No leads. Made me tired and I stopped caring about it.

To say the truth, I was relatively lucky regarding lead drops for mythic items and Ebon wolf. I managed to collect all mythic items within 2-3 days and Ebon wolf in one more. All leads dropped within little farming time except the Elden Hollow 1 lead which took me 15+ runs. Even fishing leads dropped fast, got all within 1 hour.

But I believe what you say cause the rng in this game is atrocious. I may have managed to escape this time

, but there are other items that simply won't drop for me.

There are moments where rng seems stuck or sth.

Those drop rates were truly tough but it meant more for the item you were looking for.

Yeah, I think those are the worse ones. The ones that drop from the final bosses in dungeons.

The ones you farm in (or outside it seems) delves can be annoying when they just seem to refuse to drop. But the dungeon ones can easily take days, weeks... maybe even months if you get unlucky. Because after running the same dungeon a half dozen times a day in a row I think most people are going to need a break.

I didn't count how many mobs I killed for that lead but it took about 5-6 hours of farming over a couple of days before it finally dropped from a wolf. Not sure what was worse, that or having to do DS Caverns 12 times to get the lead from the Engine Guardian to drop.

I dont know you guys but you complain a lot about farming in ESO

There are MMO's harder to drop things, with a chance of 0,01 percentage from bosses (1 every hour).
ESO is very forgiving in that matter, we don't have to grind our gears and itens the ones that need the grind can be bough through guild trader by low prices (aside from perfected sets), and that will get even easier with the new transmute system that will come with markarth.

But yeah it's boring, i spent an entire weak to get the 3 leads of the justice system for the music box. The safe box one (golden) took me days, cracking safe boxes in that south desert city in bangkorai. (Which i discovered to be the best place to farm that lead)

I STILL haven't been able to get that last music box part. That's the one that's been eluding me the longest.

OTOH, I got the wolf part from the Darkshade II boss on my first try. Go figure...
