how can i see what antiquities i can find / have leads for

I know you can look under scryable when you are IN the region, but how can i check all that i have "unlocked" for each region? really confused about that

In your quest log is a new icon for antiquities. You can check by each zone in there. As far as I'm aware, there isn't any way to see a list of all of them. Next year when I get around to messing with it, I'll just add a spreadsheet for leads etc. to my current ones.

You need to check each region's submenu for the list of Antiquities.

You can set a filter in the upper right corner for 'not started/in progress/all'. With the not started filter you'll only see Antiquities you have a Lead for but haven't scried yet, and completely unknown Antiquities.

Really wish we had a 'have Lead for' list in Antiquities, and a timer on how long we have those Leads for. Because it's really annoying to try to notice a Lead on one character, then log over to your Antiquities toon, remember what the Lead was, figure out in which zone you have to scry for it, and also keep in mind how fast you need to reach that Skill level before the Lead expires. The little (!) that only appears when you first pick it up isn't enough when you want find all the leads you can mass-scry on your dedicated Antiquarian char. I mean, it's possible, but tedious.

SO much this. It would be a huge improvement not to have to check every zone one by one. Plus, it would be a lot easier to keep track of what you have by seeing them all in one place rather than try to remember what you saw 30-40 clicks ago.

I know it's useless info for console players but some kind soul has made an addon called Display Leads. It is a simple interface and lists all your leads by difficulty and zone, as well as showing how much time is left on it. They deserve a medal!

The interface is not very useful... I have to be in the region and go to the "scryable" section to see the leads I can work on.

If I am in the region and go to the region menu that shows the list of antiquities and leads I found, even though I am in the required region and have a scryable lead, I can't scry for it, I have to go to the "scryable" section. Quite confusing and annoying.

Besides, a category with found/available leads would be great, so see all the leads in one section.

This is a feature the antiquities system sorely needs, and it gets especially troublesome as players excavate items and find repeat leads we may want to dig up later.

Unfortunately this only gives you leads that you have but have never done before, so if you've excavated a The Heartland painting and then found a new lead and forgotten about it, there are only two way to see that you have the lead available to scry:
1. Travel to the Alik'r Desert and check your scrying menu
2. Open the location on your map and check the Antiquities tab

The map way is faster, but is still time-consuming to check every area one by one and confusing to navigate through when looking at a bunch of areas because the areas list is on a different tab. It's also kind of inconspicuous to find the first time.

I see you're on PC, the add-on "Display Leads" is highly recommended. Just set a hotkey for it once you have installed it and go

Thanks! It's silly though that someone has to build and maintain an add-on for such a basic feature.

The same could be said about many other parts of the ESO user interface, and it's not just the more recent additions that are problematic. Awkward UI design with essential information either missing or hidden in remote places is a consistent pattern with this game, and I am grateful for playing it on a platform that gives me the option of using add-ons.
