Just wondering if it is still free to players who have not bought it.

    It’s still bugged, I can travel to Solitude even I didn’t buy Greymoor

    Didn’t try though. But maps are there and white wayshrine

    Those I had too, and also have had with Elsweyr before I bought it. However, I couldn't travel there, because it would always tell me to purchase an upgrade... so I don't think that's any indicator?

    i personally won't go there - this could well be considered to be an exploit of a bug, if someone not owning the chapter is going there -so I won't even try.

    Well, it's located in Skyrim, which belongs to the Nords. So as long as the Empire and its milkdrinkers keep to their own side of the line, yeah, it's free.

    what? my wayshrine is still white and no message to unlock chapter appears. I did not go there tho, to not raise any exploit suspicions.

    Having a white wayshrine is not an indication that you have access.

    Try to travel there via wayshrine. You still have to confirm with E, if it is possible (there you can stop).

    It's really tempting to test If it will actually let me port. xD I clearly don't have access to the trial, but what about the zone?

    I doubt ZOS will get their panties in a twist if you zone in and out or even take a look around. As long as you don't go on a farming spree I'm sure you'll be fine. It might just convince doubters to buy the chapter so they only have stuff to gain.

    Ok, I tried and it says it's locked so I guess that settles it. I don't remember wayshrines being white if you haven't unlocked a content, but maybe it's just what's left of that bug.

    Guaranteed anyone who's account/character files were affected by the bug will fore ver see those wayshrines and the such as rolling back potentially millions of account changes would take an insane amount of effort. This one I can't blame too much on ZOS, live and learn.

    It's not free for me. It shows as the wayshrines are unlocked but when I try to travel to Western Skyrim, a message pops up asking me to purchase it.

    Elsweyr is white because it is a dlc now and if you have eso+ you can access it - the same happens to western skyrim even it is not dlc but chapter and should just show white to those having bought the chapter. i still see it white even I don't own the chapter.

    ok, then we can just ignore the white in western skyrim and good.
