Excavation leveling faster than Scrying

Ive been leveling Excavation and Scrying for two days and noticed that Excavation is leveling faster than Scrying.
Mostly on Arthaeum like the rest of server, but I also did a couple in Auridon and Western Skyrim.
I thought the skill lines were supposed to level at the same rate?
Is anyone experiencing the same or is there an explanation that Im missing?

Yes it levels faster to me too..

Same here. Maybe you get extra excavation exp when you find optional treasures?

You also level both skill lines with their respective achievements. The excavation ones are easier/faster to get.

I think its because of the achievements giving xp towards leveling the skill line, the excavation ones seem to be easier to get giving that skill line a slight head start in leveling.

That's probably it, I got a couple achievements for Excavation like finding the treasure with the first move.
