Western Skyrim World Bosses Unplayable?

Tried several world bosses today, only a few other players and the lag was so bad...it was unplayable..abilities did not fire, everything was frozen or delayed, bosses would not take damage or die or for some reason , re-appear at full health.

All present complained of the lag that stayed with us even after we left the area..had to "/reloadui" just to be able to call and mount my steed.

One out of 4 bosses were killable...gave up on the others after repeated failures. And this is while it was not "busy" , maybe 4-5 players in the area.

Something is seriously wrong, please check it out and fix it, thanks

I did one boss last early evening before the Queue thing and the fight went OK. We had 4 players going at it. Have not tried one today.

I was able to kill the first Sister Boss (I don't remember her name) because there were other players present to help out. I made it into Blackreach and tried my best to kill Sister Tarda or whatever but alas every attempt ended in failure. There at least 4 phases of this kill you must go through. Lyris and Fenn are there to help and Fenn heals you during the fight but when the phase comes to kill some giant hulking mass of a monster it isn't enough. Died everytime. Sister Tarda is immune to attacks when you face off against what she summons. I suggest you build your character before this or you will probably be starting over or at the very least aborting the quest.

Ty but..nothing to do with Blackreach or quest bosses...this was several world overland bosses that are an issue currently and were so at the time of posting.

The nite before it was fine..even with overloaded servers and log in queues. It was affecting all of us at the WB area - we were not grouped. Several world bosses, in several geographic areas, with different sets of people - all having same issues on severe lag. (NA server 1130 am west coast )

I'll try again later and see if its been resolved but considering there were some "fixes" made overnight it seemed like a good idea to post it here and see if it universal or conditional/temporary.

My build at cp 1130 is just fine ty and handled the quest boss fight you mentioned above without a hitch

Same issue here on PC-NA. Possibly they've brought up some additional server instances which are less than optimally spec'd on network or resource side of things. I'm seeing increased latency and signs of packet loss in overland Western Skyrim. Skill and bar switch aren't firing.

RTT is regularly spiking over 300ms while in western skyrim overland. Didn't see this yesterday. It's terrible right now.

My issue with Sister Tarda is probably due to starting a new character and burning through the main story line of Greymoor too fast without even any Armor just the stuff they give you at the beginning of the game. I am now to the same point where you go speak with Fenn and the Clever Woman to get the amulet that shows you the path to Blackreach. This is probably a good spot to stop and build up your character as after Sister Tarda there are 4 or 5 more of these Sister fights and they only get harder.

This is not solely a Western Skyrim problem. Ping frequently spikes to 300 and above for me and guildies no matter where on Tamriel we are. I was running around Craglorn just farming nodes and doing delves and the desync and lag was so bad I nearly died numerous times to both ordinary overland mobs and delve bosses.

All of this is probably due to old technology on the part of ZOS using outdated equipment to power the game. Doesn't matter how good your PC, Internet etc. is if the source of the game is running on clunky servers.

Found it was ok when questing in Blackreach but still had a bit more lag than usual in other areas of Tamriel (NA-PC, 3-5 pm west coast )

Oddly , a Harrowstorm group in Blackreach had no lag and there was about 10 of us present.

There were however plenty of "have you got lag too " questions in several guild chats.

10 pm west coast , NA-pc: questing in Blackreach was horrid. ping all over the map to 999+ and main quest broke several times by not updating progress. Based on the others around me, they all had the same issues.

There's bad, and very bad...tonite was very bad.

Can confirm issues with World Bosses in Greymoor. See me post about ping issues on NA. Been happening all day. Players in /say range, guildies, etc., all have seen it throughout. Had two good hours of playing today, and two abysmal hours.

Debating downloading another MMO while this gets figured out.

I had that experience on one of the Blackreach bosses. It's just because there's a huge number of people straining the server to its limits at the moment. It should be fine in another week or two.

After the not hardcore figure out the population only can be sustained at 50% capacity of those WISHING to play the game. Same every release.

World bosses? I had trouble taking down a mudcrab.

Killed the Vampire Feeding ground boss.

Had no problems at all, managed to tank the boss while the other 49 players killed him in about 10 seconds.

Hate to break it to you but THIS is what was on pvp servers.

It has now spread to pve. The WB is not the issue. The lag, random arm flapping, skill failure and rubber banding are now a treasure for all to enjoy. And yeah, you can hit something for 30 mins without doing damage.

The good news is that pve players are significantly more numerous so the screaming may finally result in action.
