ESO has always been vertical progression kind of game. Counting on that my gear would never be suddenly obsolete by introducing a perfected version, I have upgraded a number of staves, shields, dual weilds and bows that I wouldn't have if ESO didn't market itself as a game of exclusive vertical progression after reaching level cap. I have 4 golden lightning staves, I would have had only 1 if I knew. Same about fire staves, I would have had 2 instead of 4. Many precise and nirn dual wield I goldened (I don't even play stamina that much) 2 bows that would have been 1. Total I additionally wasted 150 transmute crystals, 32 rosins(2 of the staves/bows were already golden from leadboard before transmute), 16 tempering alloy that I wouldn't have, if I didn't get deceived with false horizontal progression promises. And that's just me. What about you? How much materials did you waste because you were deceived by false premise? And be honest with yourself.
