I had enough of this failing piece of software

Before you ask money for a product, make it functional. A whole day went by and I still cant access the game I pay subscription for and purchased. This in not about me being entitled, ohh wait.. Yes it darn is about that, I pay money for a service, every month, and purchased the software initially. It is incredibly incompetent to launch a content update that you again have to pay for and it is broken. Do not even plan anymore update to this game until the development and infrastructure team learns how to deliver content updates. And dont even dare to ask for money until you are capable of making a functional piece of software.

First if you cant handle an mmorpg having issues including downtime during a launch wait a few days before logging in. Mmorpgs have been around since the 90s and EVERY SINGLE MMORPG EVER MADE has had and will have these issues. Deal with it or find a new hobby.

Second if you promise to never make a post like this again I will personally send you the 50 cents for your day.

Yeah, they are incompetent, they know it, and are fine with it, because we stupid morons again already paid them.

I am sorry dude, if you willing to accept something that is not right, because it's always been like that. Fine live your life that way.

That's unfortunatly true, stop supporting them and gives them 0 money, thats the only way they're going to hear you.
The decision to not upgrade VDSA & VMA weapons to perfected + that failed greymoor launch, and the permanent lag without fix on EU servers...etc all that is actually enough reason to let them sink with the game, but everything you buy from them is a support , so if they keep on earning money with such bad performance and such bad release and bad decisions...etc they'll keep on thinking that they're on the right tracks and still won't listen to players as long as they pay.

This isn't baking a cake dude. No matter how long a PTS no developer can foresee what happens when millions log in at the exact same time.

It's not accepting it, it's being mature and understanding of the complexity of these games.

I am also sorry that you are so accepting and forgiving towards ZoS. First of all not EVERY SINGLE MMO has this problem. Many of them have it once in a while, but none (of the big MMO's) for this long and still going.

Secondly, the NA server hasnt got this much trouble in months, even the PTS is situated in NA and they were able to clear stuff fast. So let me ask you a question: WHEN is a paying customer entitled to be annoyed and/or demand the service they payed for? Imagine an analogy in for example a restaurant or a hospital where you pay for a service and don't get what you asked for or not even get anything at all. I wonder if you would have the same patience and understanding as you show now. I think you than see how absurd your opinion is in this case.

No one is saying it is right, they are saying it is the nature of MMOs. It shouldn't be but shizz happens you can either suck it up and do something else or raise your blood pressure and rage on the forums which is going to achieve nothing. Your choice.

this is a good point--they will never care as long as we the consumers enable them. stop impulse buying from crown store and that will get their attention as thats where most profit comes from rather than subs. however we ALL have put money into this game and should have a better product. just have to deal with it or find another game i guess =(

I played just fine when "classic" was launched. Yeah, I know they had some problems, but in WoW, some maintenance happens even as you are logged in and playing the game, which is on an entire new level compared to ESO. I played WoW 10 years ago starting in "vanilla", and I can tell you that server issues were rare, there were long waiting times during expansion launches, yes, but even for that you got a timer and you knew how much you are going to wait. That was 15 years ago! In 2020 the client does not say how much you have to wait, or anything helpful. The CMs are also overwhelmed. It shows a team who got things out of control.

Things couldn't be worse, tbh... Yesterday we saw an arrogant tone from a lead dev, now we see a major flop that has nothing to do with servers - giving Greymoor to everyone - followed by another fail, cutting access to Greymoor to people who bought the chapter from other sites than ESO, annnndd EU players are again unable to play the content they paid for. ESO and Elder Scrolls is a huge title, that makes millions of dollars. They should have the money to improve things.

Not taking sides one way or the other, but if it bothers you that much take it as a lesson and don't pre-purchase next time.

As a little side note though, two other big-name games from other companies I also play also updated today, and those were also *** shows. It's very common across the board these days.

Funny how some players keep on posting nonsense advocating for ZoS.

Even in situations like today, some can still find excuses to everything, and aim their animosity towards unsatisfied players.

"A good costumer is a demading costumer" - If the majority of costumers are ok with this level of "competence", then this will dictacte the company level of quality, and what you will continue to get from them.

If you can't handle costumers demanding quality from services or expressing their minds on forums, you don't have to. The internet is big enough for all of us.

Keep throwing money at Zo$, that seems to be working fine.

I feel that the annoyance should be voiced to force them to improve on the aspect thats failing.

I never meant to imply that people shouldn't voice their complaints. Just that they should ALSO not auto-purchase in the future if this bothers them. Lots of people moan about issues in the heat of the moment but forget it and move on before the next batch drops. I feel like speaking with your wallet goes a lot further than forum posts with this particular team.

Personally, I get that things happen. I won't rage on them. This is a big update. But their track record hasn't been phenomenal so my faith is a bit shaken. I was excited to get home from work and play but now I'm not even sure that I will be able to.
