Fastest way to "solo" grind rank 1 in Cyrodil

Hey all. A few questions. I just found out that changing a campaign resets your rank , so i wasted about 2 hours of grinding on my stamplar.

1. Is there a difference between how much AP one gains in CP and NO cp campaign?
2. Whats the fastest way to get to Tier one "solo"? During primetime my skills dont go off, so i can only play during the early hours when almost nobody is online. Farming resources?

Any tips in general as to how to farm to Tier 1 as fast as possible?

In the off hours, you will want to get the bonus AP buff from defeating a delve boss and then afterwards, capturing resources. Alternatively, you can buy a bunch of wall repair kits and teleport to the various keeps around doing repairs, keeping an eye on your map occasionally so you can warp to where some profitable action may be.

If you can easily solo resources, then I'd do that (along with getting the board quests as an added bonus).

As far as I know, there's no difference between CP and NO-CP for AP gain other than number of players you can encounter.

Fastest way to get rank1 is by bombing groups of enemies
But thats certainly not the easiest

if you don't really like spending time in cyro - keep an eye out for when there is a "low-pop" bonus (there's a visual of a couple of bars on the campaign score page)...

if you go in with a low-pop bonus you can hit tier 1 in about a half hour of gameplay...go kill a delve boss for the bonus too, that will definitely help...

you'll hit the 25k mark really quick - don'r forget to set the campaign up as your home campaign...

with the delve boss bonus and the low pop bonus you can make an easy 5k just repairing walls in a keep...

You definitely need to get the AP bonus from the delve boss.
Play a magicka class and pick Breton as the race. The racial passive Opportunist gives 1% more AP earned. On the long run that will accumulate pretty well.

25k in 0,5h is pretty low. especially with lowpop bonus.
even random zergs can do ~50-100k without lowpop bonus, just spamming mutagen and zerging keeps

no doubt, but, 25k is for folks whom really don't want to step outside of a keep, just repair some walls and collect defensive "ticks"...i know right - i spend more time on my mount sitting outside of the front door, checking the map than any other spot in tamriel :p

i get though that some people just ain't feeling that kind of action...

i'd also suggest - if they do venture beyond the front door - go in tanky (at least 5 pieces heavy), slot some shields, heals, defensive ultimates and a few area of effect attack type skills...

and when things look bad - don't run - you'll only get yourself shot in the back...always better and more fun to go out in a blaze of glory :)

Run in a zerg without being part of the group and do the kill 40 quest, or do another bigger quest like 3 castles.

If rush hours are no option, try 9 resources and 3 towns and do some stuff aside it.

Can you redo the starting quest?
If not, resto staff all the way.

Ask an enemy to siege a keep and you kill them or chase them off. You can get some huge ticks. If someone asked me to do that and was like "please I just want rank 1" at this point with all the lag I would do it as long as they kept it a secret. A super-secret of course!

Thanks for all your input! I found out so far , that soloing resources works out best so far. Had no idea there was a "low population" bonus, pro tip. gonna have to watch out for that. As for class, i have 18 and plan on getting as many transmute nodes as possible next month - and want to be most efficient about it. :)

I freaking HATED Cyrodil with a passion before , when farming for caltrops and vigor. Now im really into it and starting to enjoy it :P

good for you for soloing the resources...

I haven't soloed a keep yet, but, did manage it with another player on a cp400 toon (thankfully at the time was playing a stam dk, so didn't have to worry too much about getting killed)...took us a while, but, was actually kind of fun...

since you have yourself a bunch of different characters I imagine you've noticed just how challenging it can be for some magicka ranged toons who normally use direct damage attacks...

until you start thinning out the guards you literally get hit with a negate and eclipse non-stop...it can be a bit frustrating...

if you are having any trouble (doesn't sound like you are though) you can always soften the flag guards up with some siege...

You are absolutely right. This is a fun little "project" of mine where im forced to get my toons (every class, mag and stam) to get good enough to at least solo rescources. With a stamplar as main, i can absolutely tell that magica classes have a much harder time doing this than stamina ones. Havent yet tried to do them on my stam nightblade, but i imagine its gonna be challanging. Stamplar 2h and SnB works best by far - but its fun to get to try out all of my toons.

    Thanks for your input :)

This is exactly what happened to me along the way while farming transmute crystals ;) For sure, as solo I'm still a poor player in any kind of XvX . Now though, I have a tanky heal set, carry plenty seige, am healthy enough to stand and heal/buff in the ram and am first through the breech. The good thing about storming in first, is that the people following you can pick you up, if you fall. The edge lurkers die alone :D

So you had a similar experience as me it looks! Its totally crazy. I was into ESO 100% for PVE , tanking in dungeons and solo questing. I needed transmute crystals and vigor and caltrops so i was forced to PVP. I freaking HATED PVP (espesically Cyrodil) WITH A PASSION. Every second i was in that place was a torture. I used to get drunk and spam the zonechat and pay people to carry me to Tier 1. i was LIVID and every aspect of that place was pure torture.

Now, i only do PVP and havent even touched single player content in 1 year. Its crazy how the transmute crystal chase changed the way i play!
