I'm going to get my daily rewards before they start patching, because sometimes ESO is down for half a day when it's a big patch and expansion release. If something bad happens, we won't be able to get our daily rewards for that day.
It's happened to me before.

There's nothing to this chapter to make me think it's worth getting it early, so I'm going to wait until at least one of my characters has completed everything else and reached that point in the story and/or it's discounted.

I'm also going to skip logging in on patch day because that's always a mess. (And I don't mean that as a dig in ESO, I mean big new releases in online games are always a mess - lots of work to do behind the scenes, lots of changes to the game all hitting at once and then everyone who can trying to log in at once - so many ways that can go wrong.)

Edit: Just before release day a friend pointed me to a reputable site that was selling Greymoor for 1/2 price already, so as it turns out I did get it on release day, and I didn't get a choice about playing on the first day because PC EU was offline all day due to problems.

It's going to be rough, if the history (of mmo's) is to be believed. That's not to say I might log in for writ dailies.

I really do want it to be smooth though.

When patch drops I'll be still working and when I'm free there (most likely) will be found some game-breaking stuff and maintenance started again.
But if not, I'll start with checking out chapter tutorial on new char and then antiquities on main

1st day will be a right off, expect the rest of the week to be a series of "hotfix" and "urgent" maintenance, cyrodiil crashing and players getting locked out of characters due to alliance changing.

I'm going on a vacation on 27th, so I can try to login all night long
Still want to try vampire changes. I have some ideas how I can incorporate two or three new abilities in my current build and see if its worth it or not.

I will login to see if they remade the awful voice of Death Hound mount, and if they added any special effects to it...
If no and it's still unfinished mount (meaning I've wasted money of Collector's edition), I send feedback again, and log out to return to flying on my Griffons.

After waiting an hour or two first so that the early adopters can find any killer bugs. Then I'll be in to pick up my goodies and make any adjustments I need to on my characters. I hope that priest of Arkay has an unlimited supply of vampire cures

As it looks now I'll give the chapter a skip because I can't justify to myself to throw any more money at the company with the current product they're offering and here I'm thinking mostly performance-wise. If that changes I may buy it or get it once it is in crown store. Either way I'm also going to find something else to play for the first two weeks or so because I am expecting major performance issues, worse than usual that is, and back to back maintenances for at least that long and I'd rather not have the frustration.

I have never been disappointed by a chapter yet, so I am highly likely to buy it but I tend to wait a month or 3 until its on sale.

PC release is on May 26. XBOX and PS4 is in June.

Has not been much problems with later launches because more instances but Morrowind had problems with more players than enemies in delves.

Waiting a bit to play without a crowd, crashes, extra lag and whatever stuff comes with fresh release

The servers are very laggy. VMA is difficult to complete due to lag spikes and delays in button presses.

First day will be full of updates on top of all this server instability.

And its too annoying to deal with monsters rendering into the walls after a crowd control skill.

I'm very disappointed, very disillusioned, and quite frankly, embarrassed by the product and find it embarrassing to participate in.

Obviously mot buying a chapter for full price when it nerfs my sets, forces me to grind content I already grinded a lot and makes all my stamina based vampires useless.

Do half of my writs (as I do every morning before work) and leave the launcher open and go to work, hopefully it will all be patched by the time I get home and I can hopefully play without any emergency patching

PS4, skipping the chapter this year. I'll grab it when it goes on sale. Or wait till it's in the crown store next year. They are too out of touch with the veteran community for me to look the other way on this.

It might take me a couple of days to download on my free-zone time anyway depending on size. And I'm not doing anything with the chapter for at least a year. Maybe longer. Nor am I doing anything with the base game werewolf/vampire stuff, so business as usual for me once things calm down.

Grinding a new skill line to unlock a mini-game doesn't sound appealing at all, combat in zone content is too easy to feel rewarding, endgame activities are crippled by the worst performance I've ever experienced in a video game. ZOS hasn't given me a reason to spend money or even time on this one.

Will be reviewing patch notes to see if there's anything I want to change for my characters with the new stuff. There usually isn't, but every so often something happens that fits my characters better. Or stupid PvP balance changes ruin another ability I really liked and I then have to stop using it because it's unfun or pointless to use now (see: removal of stun on lightning staff destructive clench).

PS4, start the download early on June 9 and hope it finishes sometime that day. And then buy Greymoor, because there is no pre-purchase on PS4, so we folks on PS4 get the pre-purchase bonuses by buying Greymoor between June 9 and June 22.
