Best solo build to invest in with 350CP?

I'm curious what solo build experienced players recommend as being the best to invest in with 350CP; my understanding is Magplar, Magsorc, Stamplar and Stamsorc are considered to be the "top solo builds". Is there a general consensus for this? Out of these 4, which is recommended for soloing as much content as possible, but can also perform well in groups and the "easier" trials without having to respec?

Are there other builds that perform better than the 4 mentioned above?

Magblade is performing great, also, you have to mention what content you plan to solo.

MagSorc has always been a good solo class, as you can have up to 4 pets sometimes, shields and good damage. Also if you wanted you can choose a Race like Dark Elf that can change between Mag and Stam.

    Have played all classes.

Magsorc is probably the best of all.
Stamplar is harder to solo with at low cp, but definitely possible. Unless you do hard veteran dungeons, all classes can solo pretty much everything. Open world bosses, some normal dungeons etc.

The easy friendly no brainer more is magsorc using two pets, familiar and matriarch for burst heal, you can even use just matriarch if you wanna have more skills to use. Then of course hardened ward and you are good to go.

Magplar is another good one and you rely basically on spamming jabs to do damage and stay alive at the same time.

Stamsorc is the best solo stamina class because of hurricane + critical surge which is similar to magplar jabs, and let you facetank while you get passive heals from the crits you make.

Play them and play the most fun for you or you end up getting bored if you choose a class you don't like even if it's bis for solo.

Any heavy attack sorc with damage over time effects for damage, lightning staff heavy attacks (cause fire and ice just feels bad, in addition lightning ones get x4 the bonus from maelstrom staff). Critical surge for survivability, shield/matriarch for defense, bi stat food (max health+max magicka), wall on back bar obviously (wall of elements on back bar procs backbar enchantment when you are on front), and any 3 sets you want, since dps is not top priority (good damage sets you can run that are also very fun are mechanical acuity and maw of the infernal, at the time I paired it with necropotence for max mag for dmg)

    IMO...

    1. MagSorc (Pets tank and massive shields, not to mention great heals)
    2. StamSorc (Passive heals on crits and with dots and hurricane up, you will always be criting which allows you to focus on damage)
    4. Magblade (Passive heals that allow you to focus on damage)
    5. Magplar (Jabs are a life saviour and your main source of healing, they have an incredible burst heal BUT you are completely useless if you get stunned and cant heal whereas the classes with passive heals can still heal you even while you are stunned)

Magplar requires the most attention, you cant just face roll like the others because you have to be active to actually heal.

Any class with passive healing is the best for soloing.

Magsorc and magplar are the easiest to solo with. So stick with the one you like the most.

I solo mostly with my magblade tho. Magblade has:
Ranged spammable which heals you and you can kite with it
Cloak, so you can skip unnercessary encounters
    Fantastic sustain
    Ultigen ultimate
Major evasion if you need it
High magicka bonuses if you need shields

And to me vma with magblade is as easy as with magsorc

Do you have a recommended build reference for a Magblade?

Magplars are always solo friendly and strong, with some of the easiest rotations of any class, but more and more, when I'm playing solo, I find myself playing on my Petsorc. I don't think the top end DPS is as good on my petsorc as a magplar or my magcro, but the pets take pressure off of you and your pretty versatile with the Twilight Matriarch heal and heals from crit surge. Its much easier to solo world bosses and other encounters that would be more difficult on my other chars.

Also, I prefer mag specs in general because they seem to be more survivable.

puryfing light, living dark and extended ritual are not enough? i get more healing on templar with extended ritual that with vigor on stamden.
for me most content has been more fun with magplar or magsorc, but for PvP i really like stamden much more. I suggest to take a class and try to dominate It, and if you dont feel completely Happy with It, give other class a try.

Magplar I’ve got one bar for mobs and another bar for bosses. Have jabs (sweeps) slotted on both. The main issue is survivability though. You must run food and even then if you somehow get locked down in a boss fight with a lot of adds you are toast. You are also in the danger zone for 1 shot mechanics.

The bar for trash mobs you get 3 aoe up while standing in your rune and jabbing and you are basically invincible.

The boss bar has extra sustain and buffs, but you can cycle your back bar for the extra aoe dmg too. Just have to watch the health while applying them all, which is why jabs and channel focus are on both bars.

It’s super simplified. Great for solo content.

I'd say magplar is the easiest of them all. You have a great overloaded spammable that aoes and heals you, you can kill nearly anything with that skill alone. They also come with other great skills that make you even more harder to kill. Slap on iceheart and you can faceroll yourself through most pve content.

Out of all my toons it's the easiest one to do vMA with.

This. Only thing I'd say is that for most content you don't need the matriarchs heals and can run TT instead for a bit more stdps. Crit surge does more than enough healing when you can spam shields.

I a!ways run necropotence as my base set and Maw as my MS as it's flat damage and works great on a heavy attack build. You can flex the other set depending on what you're doing. MS is good all rounder esp for stdps; plague doctor jewels /weps if you want to be more tanky. I really like overwhelming surge though - it's become my standard loadout. Great for clearing trash packs and the magika return is awesome.

Currently, Pet Sorc is quite good for this. You can put on Leeching PLate + Bahraha's cures and a monster set and solo a fair number of vet dungeons. If you keep your CP set-up for DPS, you can swap out to necropotence and Mother's sorrow, respec the matriarch to tormentor and parse above 60 K on a trial dummy.

Equally importantly for difficult solo content, by running two pets, your rotation is simple and you are less likely to die because you got lost in your rotation, were on the wrong bar, or missed your emergency heal at a critical spot.

Which build is best for soloing ?
You can solo almost anything with matched sets and skills. You don't need top-notch meta build for that.
(unless you're trying deathless solo VMA, but you need more experience than power to succeed on that)

Stamina or Magicka ? Which weapons do you feel most comfortable with ?
Everyone is not ok with a bow, a 2-hander, sword & board, dual wield, or staves.

    1) pick your main weapon
    2) make sure you have ranged and close-quarters options, either on skills or back-bar weapon
    3) make sure you have a reliable self-heal
    4) pick 2 sets for damage, 1 for survivability/sustain
    5) check viability (you should be able to solo normal 4-man dungeons that have number "1" in name, wayrest sewers, fungal grotto, etc., and that shouldn't feel hard at all)
    6) adjust enchants if needed

You have "default" craftable sets for testing that shouldn't be a lot of investment : Ancient dragonguard, New Moon Acolyte and Shacklebreaker can do fine on both Mag and Stam.

I made mine almost specifically for vMA. The byproduct is that it’s pretty solid at everything else too. Definitely a solo beast, and way easier than my stam warden!
