The game has some performance issues but not as bad as people say. Maybe I'm just lucky. I play on PC/NA and mostly primetime pve. Doing pledges and trials and 99% of the time have no issues. Occasionally get ping spikes, lag and very rarely (like once every 2-3 days) booted to login or stuck on load screen etc. But I'm getting no death, speed and hm runs done so it's not unplayable.
I agree that the servers are not great, but alot of times there could be problems at customers end. Your location also matters. Alot of ISP's are crappy, do ping test, maybe you got some modem/router issues. Also alot of people play literally on potatoes. I see all the time discussion in chat about someone playing on 10+ year old mac or some cheap old non gaming laptop. You may also wanna close your browser with 100 tabs open, make sure you got no malware etc and stop downloading *** while playing. So before making these "game unplayable " threads, maybe check your hardware and network. Alot of people simply saying that they have xxx Mbps up and down doesn't always mean that everything should run smoothly. There's so many things that could be wrong at your end.
And if you happen to use console, then I feel ya. I may get some bashing for this but imo, consoles shouldn't even exist.
Bottom line, ESO is no more unplayable than any other game. All games that I have played, have lag, desyncs, occasional freezes and crashes. Welcome to online gaming.
