That isn't possible? Weird, I only play female chars, so I never noticed. Male chars can wear dresses and all but no flowers in the hair very weird.

it's locked behind what gender your character is, not very fair in my opinion

There's a lot of adornments and hairstyles that are gender locked for no reason except because. ZOS please unlock them so they're usable by all genders.

I agree, I can have makeup and wear dresses while playing as a male character, but i can have a flower in my hair because it's locked to female. it's rather stupid and makes no sense.
do they fear the sight of a strong nord man, who's got a flower in his hair?

Are only older items "gender locked", or is this a total random thing? Because my male char wears long lashes and lipstick.

I also want beard options for "female" chars, tbh...

from what I know, there's just adornament options that have gender locks on them. I feel it's stupid that we can have makeup as a male character, and wear dresses, but we're not allowed to have flowers. it doesnt make any sense.

Strange that armors aren't gender locked (which could be reasonable since well male and female bodies are different) but things like hair and flower are where there is no essential reason to it.

All armors grow "boob bumps" with nip-ples(!), even the heavy ones... so ridiculous! 😂 And some armors look really strange on female chests. Almost hurtful. And I have found only one(!) that is truly flat chested on female chars with almost no breasts.

(Lots of male ones lose their belly, also annoying.)

Real chest armour isn't flat. It's either curved or angled, in order to try to deflect thrusts from straight on. This creates a gap between the chest bone and the armour that is usually padded, but which also means most women would have no difficulty wearing it. Armour with size DD boob bumps was created for the 15 year old male player market.

I agree. And with "flat chested" I meant no visible boob moulds or however to describe it. ;) It's more of a V.

Don't a lot of the various adornments & jewelry & makeups share just a handful of equipment slots? It may be that hair flowers/etc are taking the "facial hair" slot (or, rather, when they went to make those adornments, they thought "hey, female characters aren't using the Beard slot, let's put these in there! And guys use the facial hair options, so no hair flowers for them!")

I know that I certainly have had annoyances when I try to use one of the crown-crate lip colors, and it makes my character's eye makeup disappear....

The idea of a female anatomical cuirass does have historical precedent though, dating back to at least the rule of Charles I in the first half of the 17th century, when Elizabeth I was portrayed with one. It may have been part of the cultural imagination rather than real parade armor (we’ll never be certain), but so too are video games. The idea of a female character in an anatomical cuirass per se isn’t any less realistic than tanking a boss in the Prisoner’s Rags style. It’s all fantasy. Although, yes, the more generous the chest, the more it caters to certain modern fantasies more than others. Her Majesty was far from a DD in that engraving!

Also kinda pissed at the haircut disparity. Zeira in the theives guild dlc has a male character haircut but even with the paid for haircut pack its still not selectable for female characters. Also men can't use most of the eyelashes facial hairs would he a real great freebie tweak if zos just kinda gave us full gender equality for haircuts and accessories
