The vamp changes will have a very negative effect on Magplar's sustain

As a magplar, we are near the bottom of the list for sustain, especially when in groups where Healer's don't have the proper sustain buffing sets. If we are losing the magicka regen passive from the vamp skill line, we need that sustain to come from somewhere else. As it stands now, if we lose out on that sustain boost, it will force us to have to use regen food (which is a noticeable loss on DPS, and I already have to do that for groups that aren't properly geared) and/or switch over to Breton (again making us lose out on DPS) which are measures that most other classes won't need to take. This only hurts us even more since our DPS is already lower compared to other magicka classes, thus making us even more irrelevant on the HM Trials scene.

Only advice I can give is use Sated fury + Eviscerate. Going melee isn't for everyone but most sustain issues can be solved on vampire with that skill when combined with fury. Its so freaking cheap even at stage 1 that it outclasses even things like Flame Lash on magDKs ((although lacks the healing of Flame Lash.))

Another thing is just stick at stage 1 or stage 2. Stage 2 if you plan to take advantage of the strike from the shadows passive, otherwise stages 3-4 are not even worth your time since they give no DPS boost passives. This is what I've discovered so far while testing on the PTS, and I agree that is really shouldn't be this way. Hopefully ZOS lessens the ability cost increase or removes it/replaces it with something else.

Blood for blood is currently a must have and makes sustain a joke on all classes. It’ll be fun when you’re in situations where you can’t do melee and suddenly you’re a vampire for absolutely no benefits and only negatives.

The ship has sailed on sustain through vampire, @QuantumPie ... as ZOS affirmed in the 6.0.0 patch notes.

Unless major changes come to the current PTS vampire, the best bet for your playstyle is to get cured after Greymoor drops.

Be a ganker or get the cure is the conclusion I came to. I'm fine with it. Hopefully less suck heads in the game

I agree, 17 out of 18 characters are vampire now. After the update most will see the Priest of Arkay.

I cured mine yesterday. It felt liberating to get rid of vampirism and to get that mess off my character's face.

Templar has the best Magicka sustain in PvP, comparable to Stam builds, you cannot buff it.

Good, Templers Magic or otherwise should not even be Vampires, they are using Sun Magic.
