Please reconsider cast times on non-targeted ultimates
I play from OCE on the NA server and believe me when I say it, the lag is BAD. If I hadn’t invested so much time in to this game I wouldn’t touch it with a 10 foot pole or recommend it to anyone else on a connection anywhere remotely near as bad.
The major issue is with the addition of the approximate half second cast time on an ults like dawnbreaker compounds with the 300-400 MS of ping I get get and the actual cast time is delayed by up to nearly 1 second from the press of the button (actually 2 for me on console which is actually even worse because it feels far less responsive than a 1 button ult). With an ability like dawnbreaker this makes it near impossible to hit a moving target and with this significant delay and essentially requires the target to be CC’d or immobilised to actually stand a chance at hitting anyone.
Now for targeted ults I have an “it is what it is approach” when I miss but with dawnbreaker it is just so incredibly frustrating to see someone dead centre in the conal aoe mid combo only to see no damage numbers appear and you have wasted ~120 ult. This goes for even non ultimates like jabs, I have essentially shelved my plar purely because when the lag starts to flare up I cant hit a jabs to save my life. It is really sad to see a mechanical change meant to impare or increse the difficulty of certain playstyle really just destroy others.
